Vivziepop and her fans feel so threatened by Lackadaisy that they’re actively trying to ruin the show because god forbid, another indie project be as or more successful than Helluva Boss.
Pretty much, yeah. Jealousy and pettiness runs deep in this fandom, and it really sucks. Like, you'd think bringing more attention to other shows in your platform would be encouraged and something positive, but Vivziepop talks about it like an embittered "friend" who got a lower grade than you in class [She got an 80 and you got a 94]

Cross-dressing is wearing clothes typically assigned to the opposite gender while DRAG is a performance art of exaggerated femininity, masculinity, and other forms of gender expression for usually entertainment purposes.
Moxxie wasn't performing DRAG, he was just cross-dressing
I get the argument that Kesha is a full ass adult and can choose what roles she picks, but I still feel it’s v tone deaf to have her voice a character thats literally all about gluttony, singing a song about eating a lot.

A Fizz Stan is seriously defending Viv’s shitty character designs by claiming that Fizz and Robo Fizz’s designs aren’t the exact fucking same.
This fandom is just something else man, like holy shit.
Vivziepop fans defend the samey character design without pulling up background characters challenge: IMPOSSIBLE
All those pointy edges and unconventional shapes, no wonder characters are off model. Also most people know Viv’s character silhouettes are distinguishable to say the least but the lanky, spindly, stick figure body that every character has is what people are really critical on. She also repeats the same character flaws, characteristics, clothing items etc on characters that have no business having them. These spiked silhouettes are a pain to keep track of (my friend in animation is quite on Viv’s work saying the designs are not animation nor movement friendly) why for example Blitz’s egg head and horns are so different in ever frame, sharp designs can work but this is an animation nightmare there is no sugar-coating this.
Yeah uh, the sillouette test isn’t the only way to determine good character design and body diversity. When people say “characters look the same” they don’t mean they literally look the same, they mean Vivzie is incredibly repetitive in her character design. The colors, expressions, outfits, etc are practically a copy paste of each other.
The only time characters look visually distinct body type wise is if someone else or someone working with Vivzie is designing them. I 100% bet Ozzie would’ve been skinny and lanky if Vivzie didn’t have someone else working with her.
Hi I study character design for a living. I’m only a student for now, but I can tell you right away that Viv’s design philosophies are oversimplified and done very, very dirtily for something “professional”. These characters may vary in silhouette, but as a user above has mentioned, they all abuse the same pointy edges and heavy detailing to distinguish themselves from each other. The shape language present is same-y, leaving little room for characters to actually utilize them effectively. You could argue its because all these characters are aggressive, but I am of the belief that being overly attached to only one shape’s symbolism is stupid.
And, thats not the elephant in the room yet.

Its the color palettes this show insists on using.
Now, when you look at these character’s models colored, there doesn’t appear to have anything wrong with it. But should you look even a little closer…
…You see how the colors used in the main cast of the I.M.P folks alone share a very prominent issue: These characters are all way too close in value.
My biggest problem with this is the fact that their eyes especially blend near perfectly with their skin, which I imagine can cause a lot of difficulty while doing things like editing. That’s not a good thing. Moving on from that however, you will also notice that these characters all seem to focus the darker details of their bodies on their bottom half/middle section, instead of being closer to the face as traditionally reccomended. There doesn’t seem to be a real central focus for the viewer’s eye to drift to, which clutters the design.
But that’s not the only problem this show runs into when we’re talking color, oh no.
It does this with its BACKGROUNDS.
This is an issue for pretty much every episode.
On some examples, you can see it a lot more clearly than others, but on the newest ep to me it caught my attention. Look at how similar all of these are ! Its practically all the same shade of grey ! That’s not supposed to happen !!
And please do note, this is not shade to the animators and background artists themselves ! This is almost entirely an oversight from the art direction department. The clarity of each background still is very wonky because they let it be like that. I would not be personally surprised if they didnt run a grey filter over everything before putting characters in.
Yall are lucky there’s a 10 image limit for posts, because holy shit I have so much to talk about, but yeah those are my thoughts and stuffs
Random notes on s2e3 of helluva boss:
-I had hope. Hope is now lost bc less than 20 seconds in there's already a fat Moxxie joke. I'm tired of it, Viv can't even make fat characters, they're all just sticks
-That... tone transition feels off? Maybe that's just me being nitpicky tho so meh
-Okay the horse picture made me laugh I'll give the show that. Confession time, I have been looking forward to this episode. Hopefully it's better than most helluva boss episodes
-Mysterious dude's voice rlly ain't vibing with me. Eh not the worst thing tho
-Oh hey! Callback to the worst episode! But nah the callback was actually well done, I'm surprised
-The designs so far are... eh? Music wasn't the best but at least it's not fucking RED
-Does Moxxie and Moxxie's dad have the same VA? Bc the dad sounds exactly like Moxxie but with a bad accent

a generic "this shows graphic violence, profanity, and sexual themes with demon horniness" doesn't cut it when you show domestic abuse.
I genuinely might not be able to watch this. That's fine, I'm not blaming the writers for making something that depicts abuse.
I'm blaming them for not putting up a proper warning. If I saw smthing that warned for domestic violence and I still watched or skipped the warning, that would've been on me. I even double checked the warnings when the scenes started happening.
"but it warns for graphic violence-" graphic violence doesn't always mean abuse. It can mean some random getting the shit beat out of them or gore. It's generic. Most graphic violence I'm fine with, so that warning doesn't tell me anything.
