When it comes to this AU/rewrite the Trix are the ones Iām hesitant to share because I change them a lot and I know how overprotective people are of them.
My problem is at some point, they kinda blended with each other, sometimes feeling like one character instead of three.Ā
We got a lot of Icy, and Darcy and Stormy just followed what she said. Apparently, in later seasons is said that they are not biological sisters (I never thought they were, it never occurred to me), but Icy had brainwashed them? And she had another older sister? Iām gonna ignore all of that.
Some things didnāt made sense to me.
A lot of these ideas are old, āafter season two finished in 2005/2006ā old, I had a notebook, is gone, and I built up on top of what I remembered.
In this AU fairies and witches are different things, they are not interchangable. A fairy cannot be a witch, a witch cannot be a fairy, so they have different magic systems. Witches require far more technical knowledge and study.Ā
They met in Cloud Tower, Icy immediately caught on Darcy and Stormyās potential, so she approached them with the intent of using them, unfortunately or fortunately they are all cunning in their own way, and see their relationship as useful. So they have this mutual agreement. In that way they are more like sisters, they stand each other, they annoy each other, but they know if they want to reach their goal it is better for them to work together.Ā
Icy is the mean girl/queen bee type. She is way too smart and talented for teachers to restrict her too much, so she can get away with some stuff. The other students admire and fear her, because she can be from intimidating to cruel, but always in a way she cannot be directly blamed.Ā
Stormy is a hot headed punk. She is too impulsive and thinks she can overcome anything with pure brute strengthā¦ magic. Icy and Darcy have to hold her back, but she is not dumb, she knows what she is doing.
Darcy is emotionless and manipulative and possessive. She plays nice, to get under peopleās skin so it is easier for her to use her powers on them. She tries to be three steps ahead of anyone, exploit their weakness and fears to get what she wants. Icy and Stormy can see through her facade and are not affected by it. They call her out when she is trying her tricks in them.
Griffith wishes to take them as her apprentice'si wanted , not only because of their power, but also because she can see their potential for destruction. She already fought the Ancestral Witches once, the last thing she wants is for history to repeat itself. She does not know what they are planning, but she suspects they are into something.Ā
Just watch the new winx club reboot ep and this what i have to say: There are no words left to describe the hollow ache of watching the Winx Club reboot, or the profound betrayal felt toward Iginio Straffi himself and his team. A famous line from Cruella talks about the stages of grief: denial, anger, bargaining, depression, acceptance, and revenge. But they forgot the final, most painful stage: pure, crushing disappointment.
Iginio, you held the keys to our childhoods. You created a magical world that united us, capturing the hearts of countless little girls and boys across the Western media who found a home in your story. You had one job: to heal this broken franchise. This reboot was your chance to fix the shattered lore, deepen the characters we loved, expand the beautiful world building, and finally give this legendary saga the proper, dignified ending it always deserved.
Instead, watching this reboot and reading the devastating reviews feels like watching a beautiful memory burn. It is agonizingly clear that greed and money took priority over passion. You abandoned the heart of the show. By showing the world that you no longer care, you didn't just mismanage a brandāyou quietly broke the hearts of the early 2000s generation who loved your creation with all our hearts.
I think is time for people to come to terms with the origin of Winx Club. Iginio Staffi created it because there was a profitable gap in the market, Winx Club has always been intended to be a cash grab. BUT! At least the firsts season had other people that cared for the project, actually made a good story and an aesthetic unique to the series.
The series was supposed to end with Secret of the Lost Kingdom and Magical Adventure, that was a direct sequel of SotLK (no 4th season involved). I think at that point Nickelodeon bought the franchise, there must have been a change in the production crew, and since the brand was still profitable, they continue the series.
The only thing they needed was new designs of the girls to sell toys and a plot good enough to keep children entertained and old fans watching.
And is so frustrating seeing this characters that look like the Winx, but lost all essence. Fans still hope that maybe next episode is gonna make everything worth it. āIām too invested to leave now.ā
And they no reason to stop or change because people keep watching and buying the merch, it doesnāt matter if they like it or not, as long as it sells.
Is sad to see a story that had so much potential be wasted.

Ok, so I donāt know if people realize how OP plant powers are.
I thought about the seasons, but we have plants all year round, so Iām going with her being affected by them rather than having Four Seasons-based powers. Like her having to use different types of plants, depending on the environment. But also her eyes changing color, like the leaves, and having a different flower-based transformation for winter.
Flora is kinda of a nerd, she likes to investigate and experiment with plants, so imagine her applying her knowledge to use magic. And potion making is more like a ācivilianā activity.
And no, she has no power over fungi, they are a different thing. I think it would be cooler if she met a fungi fairy.

I hate it in so many levels! But mostly I find it stupid.
People have complained for years for what they did with her character, making her cartoonishly evil, and they decided āletās do that again, but worstā.
She was a bit annoying, but she is in her right to be angry, specially now that she was actually Skyās girlfriend, not just betrothed against Skyās will. He is the bad one in this situation.
WELP! Gots some bad news spoilers!! for anyone who still cares about the winx reboot, but Diaspro becomes a Witch, and she crazy now. Okay, we all know why making Diaspro of all fairy characters a witch is a bad idea right because it still enforces the fairy=good witch=evil

Sorry, but this writting is made for 6 years old that are gonna want to buy the dolls, and old fans that know they have a toxic relationship with the franchise at this point.
I was watching people react to the episodes, and I got stuck in the nightmare baby episode.
Someone asked me this and it gives me the perfect opportunity to rant about something.
I never liked the Witch=bad/ Fairy=good thing in Winx Club, I know the reboot attempted to refute it, but it is still implicit. And the Fairy= trendy clothes and Witch= dark alt clothes is also boring.
I made completely different beings. Fairies are magical beings and witches are magic users, you are born as one and itās not interchangeable.
Like a regular person cannot transform into an elf or a unicorn, but if they have affinity to magic they can become a witch (or other types of magic user). And a fairy is magic, they have different power systems.
I also consider Magic a neutral energy, you determine how to use it, thou depending on how, it might have consequences.
So instead of evil forms I just thought of what they would do if they were magic users instead (this was just a quick doodle)

Aisha was raised under strict rules, she wanted to learn how to dance to feel free, and for Samba Iām pretty sure you have to be joyful to be able to dance it, I thought it would be cute. And I can tied it to capoeira, for badass reasons.
But since I gave her mermaids traits, so I also want to add a fluid dance that moves like water.
My Instagram recommendations is full of people dancing all of a sudden, and Iām gonna use it as an excuse to practice drawing dancing poses.

Mitzi was always the ultimate spoiled, entitled rich girl who thought she was automatically superior to everyone just because her family had money and she could get whatever she wanted.Watching the Winx girls completely take over Earth as a global phenomenon must have been pure psychological torture for her. The sheer rage she must have felt seeing Bloom and the club plastered all over television screens, towering over the city on massive billboards, and dominating every single piece of merchandise from posters to clothing lines is honestly hilarious to think about. She always despised anyone who got more attention than her, but seeing her old high school target become a literal global superstar and magical royal is the most perfect, well-deserved poetic justice. That was something I really wanted to see, but from what I remember, and clips I stumble the other day, the tone shifted so much on season 4, Mitzi was not that deep of a character, but she wasā¦ handled for a young girl audience, she was there to make Bloom look better, instead of making her develop as a characters.
Instead of Mitzi being childishly jealous of Bloom I would like to see her facing that she is irrelevant to Bloom at this point, just a foot note on her story. But Bloom still being a little petty, for funsies.
I had no idea that the Winx became a āglobal phenomenonā, I donāt know how to feel about that. Because for the girls being a fairy is normal, so too many people paying attention to them should make them uncomfortable.
