Here are the fanfictions I've written. I just want to tell you that I'm not really a master in writing. I just want my head not to explode because of the ideas I'm having. Also included here are the fanfictions I liked. Of course, you can also contribute yours. Currently concentrating on Fremione
Before answering your question, I would like to thank you for reading them and for waiting for them (I know it's cruel of me to love the fact that you are waiting for them but I just couldn't help it).Â
Actually (I'm getting nervous), I am not sure yet. i have ten billion things to do, ten billion required papers in school, ten billion school sheez. So if ever I'll continue the stories, I might do it at the end of the month (Yes I know it's just Sept. 1st).Â
Another way I'm thinking is if I could ask somebody to continue writing this one.Â
So there. Thank you for loving them and I'm sorry for being a bitch and making you wait.
She was at the library again. Hermione could not remember a day in her life when she went to a library not for academic purposes, well, except yesterday and that day. Fred really left her restless. She was busy thinking about what else to add in her list of âGood qualities of Hermione Grangerâ  The things Harry told her the other night were already on the list. Her talk with Harry made her a bit confident about herself. Although she couldnât avoid being embarrassed every time she would remember what he said before he went to their dorm. He knew it was for Fred. Hermione groaned.
Hermione was too preoccupied with her own thoughts that she failed to see Fred walking towards her. He stood behind her and peered at the paper she carelessly left at the table without any cover. She was brought out of her thoughts when she heard Fred whisper, âYou should have added courageous, kind, optimist, sexy, beautiful, gorgeous, stunning, and breathtaking.â Hermione froze when she heard him. She felt him behind her, his face a few inches away from her own, his breath tickling her neck as he whispered. She wasnât able to utter a single word. Her pulse quickened. Her face flushed.
Fred, noticing Hermioneâs lack of response, Â asked, âWhat is this list for Hermione?â He sat beside Hermione, his elbow resting on the table, supporting him as he rested his head on his hand while looking directly at Hermioneâs flushed face.
Hermioneâs face turned even redder which amused Fred even more. âItâs âitâs, umm, itâs just something, umm-â
âIsnât this a first?â Fred interrupted. âHermione Granger, stuttering? Impossible.â He teased. âWhatâs the matter Hermione?â
Hermione gathered all the courage she could muster. She faced Fred while hoping that the blush on her cheeks would go away. âItâs nothing.â She denied.
âCome on Hermione.â Fred whispered. âTell me, whatâs the matter? I can keep a secret. You know you can trust me.â He encouraged. âOf course you can trust me. Iâm Fred Weasley.â Fred puffed his chest proudly.
âOf course. Youâre Fred Weasley. I bet I can even trust you with my wand. Youâre just an honest wizard with a clean reputation.â She whispered back dryly. Fred grinned. They were back to their usual friendly banter.
Fred gasped. âYou donât trust me Hermione?â
âOh I trust you.â Hermione assured him. Then her smile turned into a wicked grin as she added, âI trust you way way more than I trust Crabbe or Goyle.â Fredâs grin widened. âWell, you sure do trust me a lot.â Fred stood up and held a hand for Hermione.  âCome on Hermione, Iâm going to show you how much you can trust the incredibly handsome and intelligent Fred Weasley.â
âUh-oh. I think I could already hear Percy warning me. I think I must listen to him now. Donât you think? Especially since I trust him more than I trust you.â Although it was only meant to be joke, she could feel Fred tensed a bit because of what she said. His enthusiastic grin vanished and was replaced by a polite and forced smile. Â Just suddenly remembering that Fred âlikesâ her, she mentally slapped herself in the face for her careless blunder.
Just to reassure Fred, Hermione smiled widely, grabbing Fredâs offered hand and stood up. She stood on tiptoe then leaned closer to Fred and whispered conspiratorially, âJust so you know, trusting Percy was young Hermioneâs way. Now? Things change.â
After hearing Hermioneâs whispered âconfessionâ, Fredâs grin came back, earning a noticeable flush on Hermioneâs cheeks. Pretending it didnât affect her, Hermione continued, âWell? Where are you taking me? Iâm not going to wait forever Fred Weasley.â She crossed her arms across her chest while tapping her foot on the floor with her eyebrows raised.
Fredâs excitement was obvious. His eyes lit up. His smile widened even more. He immediately took Hermioneâs hand in his, making Hermione blush. Again. Â He dragged her along corridors, not once did he let go of Hermioneâs hand.
When they are finally in front of an empty portrait, in a part of the castle Hermione havenât reached before, Fred knocked and a middle aged woman peaked at the corner, assessing the students in front of her. When her eyes finally landed on Fred, she gave a cry of excitement and shouted, âOh Fred, itâs you! Havenât seen you in a while eh?â
Fred shrugged. âWell yeah. Iâve been busy.â The womanâs eyes transferred to Hermione. She gave her a small smile which she returned with her own. âSo I see.â The woman replied, earning a blush from Hermione.
âI would assume that you want to go inside.â
âOh yes. I would like to show Hermione whatâs inside. I know sheâll be thrilled.â Fred replied with a grin. Hermione watched the two interact. Obviously Fred had been here many times. And the fact that the woman inside the portrait seemed to know a lot about him.
âVery well. I hope you enjoy your stay.â She said, more to Hermione than to Fred. She gave them a final wave and the portrait opened.
When the woman in the portrait left, Fred turned and looked at Hermione. âLetâs go pretty perfect Prefect.â Fred went inside with Hermione just behind him. He still didnât let go of her hand, Hermione noticed. She felt her heart skipped a bit.Â
Hermione tiptoed and peeked above Fredâs shoulder to see what was in front of them. She knew that they were already near the place Fred wanted her to see.
Finally, when they reached the end of the tunnel, Hermione adjusted to the light that was barely there before. Fred squeezed her hand when she gasped. She finally saw what was in front of them.
And Merlin bless Fred, the place was amazing.
 ________________________________________________________
HEYYYYY. As you can see, I've left it hanging. :) What do you think should make the place "amazing"? What did Hermione see? Well guys, whatever it is, it's up to you. ;) So what do you think?
The students who saw Hermione Granger that day, furiously scribbling down at a parchment, with her nose almost touching the said parchment, shook their heads with a mixture of pity, admiration and concern for the intelligent Gryffindor. They really wanted their Prefect to stop being too conscious and focused on her studies. They wanted her to enjoy the bright morning sun outside the castle, laugh with her friends more, and just relax even for a day. As much as she annoys them, Hermione Granger is a good witch. And nobody would want something bad to happen to her.
 Well, except the Slytherins maybe.
 Scratch the maybe part.
Theyâre actually wrong. And if ever theyâd know what the Gryffindor Prefect is currently doing, theyâd all think that they deserve a special space at St. Mungos with their previous DADA professor âGilderoy Lockhart.
Because in all actuality, Hermione Granger is NOT doing ANYschool-related work, sheâs actually busy writing a list of all her good points/characteristics which is made for her to figure out why in the name of Merlin does Fred want her.She was having a hard time though and it made her as frustrated as Snape in his regular days.
âHermione?â The Gryffindor Prefect looked at the librarian.
âYes Madam Pince?â she asked politely. The librarian smiled, which was more like a grimace in Hermioneâs opinion and said, âItâs already late. Maybe you should go back to your dorm.â Hermione sighed. She asked nicely but Hermione knew that the witch wanted her to leave already.
Hermione sighed. âAlright.âShe picked up all her stuff and walked toward the direction of their tower. When she entered the common room, she spotted Harry, sitting and relaxing on a couch near the fire-one of their favorite spots.
âHey Harry.â She said. Her best friend looked at her and smiled while moving and giving a space for Hermione to sit on which she gladly took.
âWhere have you been?â Harry asked.
Although Hermione knew that Harry already knew that she just left the library (well, where will she even go?), Hermione was grateful for Harryâs sensitivity. If Ron was there, heâd just probably say, âJust left the library Hermione?â, or âFinally left the library?â, or something much more insensitive and infuriating. Thatâs why Hermione really loves Harry. In a brotherly way of course.
âJust the library.â
âDoing what?â Harry asked. Thinking about what she did, Hermione blushed. She avoided Harryâs gaze. Hermione was contemplating whether to tell Harry about what she was doing or not. She knew he would not make fun of her.
âI was just writing a list.â She whispered.
âWhat list?â asked Harry. âIs there something I should know about and should be doing right now?â he asked again, panicking a bit. Hermione smiled.
âGetting a bit studious now Harry Potter?â she teased.
âMerlin no! I was just won-â
Hermione laughed. âNo Harry. We donât have anything to do today.â The boy beside her just looked at her, confusion written all over his face. âThen what are you doing?â he asked.
She sighed, thinking of a way on how to tell her best friend.
âWhat do you think of me Harry?â Hermione asked as she looked at him.
âWhat?â a confused Harry asked. After a few seconds, Harryâs face reddened. Knowing what Harry might have interpreted with her question, Hermioneâs eyes widened as a blush crept on her cheeks. âI mean, can you tell me the things you like about me? Do I have umm, g-good qualities? Of course, Iâm asking you as my best friend. You know a lot of things about me.â Harry seemed to relax after her explanation.
Hermione was patiently and nervously waiting for Harryâs response. Her best friend seemed to be deep in thought.âWhat if his answer is not good enough?â
After a few minutes, Harry finally looked at her and smiled.
âHermione,â Harry started as he put his hand on around Hermioneâs shoulder.âAside from the obvious reason-you being the smartest witch here- you have a many good qualities. Donât you ever think otherwise okay?â Hermione nodded as she looked directly at Harryâs eyes. âYou are a very genuine, considerate, understanding, loyal, caring, trust-worthy, loving person.â
Hermione noticed that Harry was still trying to come up with answers but because of his obvious discomfort about expressing his feelings and thoughts, Hermione decided to end his suffering.
âAre you sure Harry? Iâm all that?â she asked hesitantly.
âOf course Hermione. Youâre all of those and a lot more actually.â Harry looked at the other end of the room, away from Hermioneâs scrutinizing gaze as he admitted. âAt one point, I may have liked you more than as a sister.â Hermione was surprised at that. âBut of course, that was a long time ago. It was just a young boyâs crush. â Harry laughed. âBut even though things have changed and I just see you as my sister, my best friend, youâre still one of the most wonderful person Iâve ever met.â
Hermione was deeply touched by Harryâs admission. It wasnât like Harry to express what heâs feeling, unless heâs actually angry-thatâs a different story. So hearing what Harry just said made Hermione emotional. She thanked Harry with her tears streaming down her face. Hermione hugged her best friend and kissed him on the cheeks.
They stayed at the common room for another hour, just sharing stories and laughing. When Hermione yawned, they both decided to end the special night by retreating to their own dorms. But as Hermione stood up, Harry grabbed her hand and said, âBelieve what I said earlier Hermione. Youâre all of the things Iâve mentioned earlier and a lot more than that. I know Fred thinks so too.â With that, Harry run toward his dorm and Hermione could swear that her best friend blushed for the hundredth time that night, leaving an embarrassed and blushing Hermione alone in the common room.
Finally, I've managed to post this one. I know there isn't really a Fred/Hermione in this one. I just couldn't resist showing a bit of Harry/Hermione friendship.
Anyway, another thing. Do you remember my other story? "A Year to Remember". I don't know if I should still continue with that since the last chapter I posted is basically the ending I've thought but there are people on FF who asked me if I could continue writing it. What do you think? A reason why I'm a bit reluctant to continue with it is because I've already thought of another story. :)
Another anyway, I'm sorry if it took me a long time to post a chapter (and I know there would still be people who would be disappointed with this one.)
Awwww :')))) Thank you. i'm more than fine actually. I've been busy but everything is okay now. I'm actually hoping that I could continue writing. :)))) I missed you too. :*  How are you?
I'm back! I'm sorry. I've been a lazy loser. I hope I'll be able to write again (in between reading novels and working for my summer job). I've been too busy with school works and reading different romance novels ;)Â
I was extremely happy when I checked my tumblr :) There are still people who liked my stories and people who followed me. Thank you for liking my stories, for staying with me and for following me :D YAAAAAAYYYY!
Oh hello. I don't know if my answer is still needed. Sorry. I was too busy with school works.
I think the Fremione part is "I Fear No Fate". The second one (the sequel of IFNF), which is a George/Hermione fic is "Waiting on Winter" :) Hope I'm right.Â
After a week of writing and re-writing her Transfiguration essay, Hermione finally finished it. She put all of her things in her bag and just sat back and rested. She was already feeling a bit sleepy but she still had to wait for Harry and Ron who were at the Quidditch pitch for their regular training. She could go upstairs already, rest and lie down on her comfortable and warm bed. But of course, she wouldnât. Her two best friends would surely need her help with their essays.
At the exact moment, the door of the common room opened and seven tired-looking Quidditch players entered. Harry spotted Hermione and waved at her. He was just about to go to her when Ron called him. The boy didnât even bother looking at her. Hermione just shook her head. She was certain that after Ronâs head was cleared and refreshed, he would go to her immediately and ask her to help him with his homework.
After half an hour, Hermione saw Angelina, Katie and Alicia sat together at the corner of the common room. She was amazed as to how these girls could look so pretty even after a tiring Quidditch practice. Although Hermione was certain that she was not into girls, she couldnât help but sigh as she looked at these three perfect girls âsmart, athletic, pretty girls.
Hermione felt someone sat beside her but she didnât tear her eyes away from the girls. She only looked at the person invading her space when he spoke directly to her.
âWhat are you doing Hermione?â Fred asked cheerfully.
âJust thinking.â Fred followed her gaze and frowned in confusion as he saw what she was looking at.
âThinking? While staring at the girls?â He moved closer to Hermione until his thigh was already brushing hers.
Hermione frowned. âWell, yes. I was just thinking, how could they still look so pretty even after a Quidditch practice? Theyâre just perfect.â She sighed. Hermione blushed when she realized that she just revealed one of her flaws- her insecurity, her envious nature. Fred took her hand in his and squeezed it.  âI just like looking at pretty girls.â
âMe too.â Fred said enthusiastically.
Hermione smiled at him. âI know you do.â She whispered softly. âOf course he does.â She thought sadly.
Hermione looked back at the girls she was watching. She didnât want to look at Fred and how heâd obviously ogle these girls. Although Fred told her heâd never give up on her, she couldnât help but wonder why on earth would he want her when there are a lot of girls who would do anything to be with him, including these three pretty girls.
âJust so you know,â Fred whispered in her ears, âI donât just look at any pretty girls.â
Hermione smiled. âI know. You go for the pretty and sexy ladies right?â she teased. Fred shrugged and draped his arm around Hermioneâs shoulder, bringer her closer to his side. That made Hermione blush.
âYeeeeesss.â He drawled. ânot to mention intelligent, clever, brilliant, smart girls.â
âSo weâre on the same page then.â At his confused expression, Hermione added, âwe both like looking at pretty, sexy and intelligent girls.â âIâm not into girls though.â she immediately clarified.
âAh. So thatâs where youâre wrong. You like looking at pretty, sexy and intelligent girls in general. Thatâs where we differ. I only love looking at one particular beautiful, sexy and intelligent girl.â Fred told her, a hint of smile on his face.
Hermione felt her face overheat. Â His sincere eyes were trained on her. She was definitely sure whoâs the girl he was talking about. It was just difficult to accept and understand why. Her uncontrollable heart was beating madly. She could feel Fred tighten his hold on her, as if expecting her to withdraw and run to her dorm.Â
Fred had been sweet. For the past few weeks, heâd been walking her to her classes, eating with her at the Great Hall, studying with her at the library and talking to her at the common room almost every night. Heâs just too caring and Hermione canât help liking him even more.
Thereâs only one thing that stops her from admitting that she also felt the same way- her insecurity. Fred, despite his mischievous and prankster nature, is a good, handsome and intelligent wizard who was idolized, dreamt of, slipped love potions and loved by many girls.
Apparently, Fred noticed her frustration because he immediately started rubbing her arm which did nothing to calm her nerves. âWhatâs wrong?â he asked concernedly.
She gulped. âNothing.â Hermione winced at her own fake cheerful tone. As expected, Fred didnât buy that. He frowned as he said, âYou know you can tell me everything right? I know you already have Harry and Ron but I want you to know that you can rely on me whenever you needed me.â
Not knowing what else to say Hermione just nodded and whispered a simple Thank you.
After a very long time, I finally managed to do this. Sorry really. But I've been busy with school and reading other people's stories. Plus, I've been too busy thinking about TVD and Damon Salvatore. Okay, enough of that. I don't know when I'll be able to post the next chapter.Â
By the way, thanks for staying with me even though I haven't posted for weeks.Â
The news that Hermione is going to the Ball with Harry spread like wildfire. Considering that they share enough popularity at the school and that a lot of students were already betting on when are they going to admit their âundying loveâ for each other, students seem to take an interest with the news.
Christmas came. Hermione prepared herself for the Ball. She wore her dress and her hair was put up in an elegant way. She went down to the common room and to where she and Harry agreed to meet.
She spotted Harry who waved at her and she waved back, smiling. Hermione walked towards him, trying to ignore other students who were staring at her. As she was walking, she saw on the corner of her eye, Fred, who was standing beside Angelina, both of them looking at her. She was torn between feeling smug for they were staring at her and Harry and feeling sad for she wasnât the one who was beside Fred.
All of them went to the Great Hall. After eating delicious food, there appeared a stage and all the tables and chairs were placed at the side which was an indication that the dancing would already begin.
Hermione groaned. This wasnât her place. Sheâs not really used to be with rowdy people. Therefore, Harry and Hermione just sat. Ron was nowhere to be seen so it was just them, alone.
âMaybe you want to dance?â Hermione asked mockingly.
âOh. I enjoy this kind of thing as much as you do.â said Harry, grinning at her. They both laughed. They seemed to be the only pair who decided to stay out of the dance floor.
After a few minutes of silence and just watching the others as they danced, Harry looked at Hermione.
âAre you okay?â asked Harry anxiously. Hermione raised a brow, waiting for Harry to continue. âI mean, Fred asked Angelina. Oh, you know what I mean.â Hermione smiled at her best friendâs evident concern.
âYeah. I know. To be honest, it hurts. I hate it. But I donât have a choice do I?â she answered as she scanned the students and searched for Fred.
âReally like Fred that much?â
âYeah.â She answered.
âDonât you start crying here.â warned Harry. âI donât want people to think that Iâm abusing you.â he whispered at her.
âI wonât.â said Hermione and she smiled brightly at Harry.
âMaybe we should dance.â suggested Harry. Hermione looked at him suspiciously. âAre you sure?â
âYeah of course. Letâs go.â Harry offered his hand to Hermione which she gladly took. They held hands while walking toward the crowd. The song was upbeat so the students went wild. Harry and Hermione just jumped and swayed, both of them laughing so hard at their ridiculous dance, their faces were almost as red as Ronâs hair.
They stopped dancing after three songs. Both of them were already tired so they just sat down again. Hermione was feeling a bit better now. It was now almost midnight but students were still full of energy.
Well, not them.
âHey. Since itâs Christmas today, I have a special gift for you.â said Harry after a few minutes of silence.
âWhatâs that?â asked Hermione curiously.
âGo to the balcony. Youâll see.â Harry said as he grinned at her, obviously trying to contain his excitement.
âNow?â
âNow.â
Hermione stood up and walked towards the balcony. She saw Harry went the other way and disappeared. She was at the balcony already but there wasnât anything there. She waited for about five minutes just staring at the clear black sky and down at the trees. It was really a beautiful sight to behold.
âOy.â Hermione heard someone said. She turned around and saw Fred looking at her with a little surprised look. Her heart leapt a little, finally seeing Fred properly. He was pretty good-looking, more than usual, of course.
âHave you seen Harry?â
âHave you seen George?â
Both of them asked at the same time. They smiled at each other and Fred walked towards her. âGeorge told me that Iâll find something interesting here. He said Iâll thank him and kiss the ground heâs walking  when I finally saw âitâ.â Fred said.
âSo did you find âitâ?â
âItâs not what I expected. But heâs right. Iâll be grateful to him.â Fred said, looking at Hermione with those eyes she loved.
Hermione blushed.
âSo how about you. Why are you here?â
âOh me? Harry told me he has a gift for me.â she said looking at the sky again. âBut I wasnât able to find it.â she added as she looked at Fred.
Fred seemed to be a little taken aback by what she said but he still smiled warmly. âI hope youâll finally âseeâ it.â His words were full of meaning.
âI already did.â She smiled at Fred. The boyâs smile widened. âReally?â he asked.
âYeah.â
There was an awkward silence between them. Hermione just stared at the sky as she tried to control her emotions.
âBy the way, you definitely looked beautiful today.â praised Fred as he looked at.
Hermione blushed even more. Luckily, it was a little dark, Hermione thought. Only the moonlight gives them light but itâs already enough for Hermione to see Fred- his looks, his smile, his red hair and his eyes. Before even thinking, Hermione cupped Fredâs face with her hands, looked directly in his eyes and say, âYou look fantastic.â Hermione just stared at Fred with so much admiration. When she finally realized what she was doing, she pulled her hands back and stared back at the sky. She was completely embarrassed with what she did.
She glanced at Fred, and she saw that he was smiling, looking at the sky as well. Hermioneâs heart felt light. She was very happy. Just seeing Fred with her on a special day like this made her heart swell with happiness.
âYou should go back there, you know. Harry might be looking for you.â Fred said, although Hermione felt that he was saying it half-heartedly.
âI donât want to.â
âWhy?â
âBecause I like it here.â she said and she blushed again.
âYeah.â
âEverythingâs perfect here. The moon, the sky, everything. But the thing that really doesnât make me want to go back is you.â Hermione admitted. âHarryâs right. Iâll have the best of my day here.â
Fred just stared at Hermione. He was too stunned to speak.
Hermione breathed deeply. âI think, being with you here, on this wonderful night, is the best Christmas Iâve ever had here.â Hermione looked directly at Fredâs eyes. She didnât know where she got the courage to tell him all those things, but she was glad she did. She didnât regret a thing although she felt like she have to go see Madam Pomfrey later and ask her for a remedy for a nearing heart attack.
Fred still looked stunned. He seemed to be processing what Hermione just said. He just stared at her with those eyes which melt Hermioneâs whole being. For the first time after a long long while, Hermione saw that Fred was genuinely happy that night. Then he smiled. The soft, lovely loving smile. Something Hermione seldom sees.
âYou shouldnât have said that.â Fred said. He pulled Hermione near him and he kissed her in the lips. He put his arms around her waist as she put hers on his shoulder. It was a soft and undemanding kiss. Fred hugged her tighter and Hermione did the same. He stopped kissing her and he cupped her face with his hands. He stared directly at her, smiling.
âBest Christmas ever?â he asked.
âBest Christmas ever.â
âVery true.â He agreed with a smile before bending down again to reach her.
Again, they kissed. It was indeed a magical moment for them. After kissing, they hugged each other. Hermione looked at the sky. The smile on her face never faded and so did Fredâs. Hermione knew and finally thereâs no doubt that Fred likes her.
Fred put his arm around Hermioneâs shoulder as they both looked at the sky. Hermione rested her head on Fredâs shoulder. They stayed like that for a long while. Then Fred removed his arm around Hermione and he stood behind her. âYou know what? I donât want this night to end.â he whispered at Hermioneâs ear as he hugged her from the back. Hermione leaned on him and held his arms. She nodded.
âYou sure you donât want to go back?â Hermione teased.
âYep. Iâm happy here.â Fredâs hug tightened and he kissed her at the back of her head.
Hermioneâs smile faltered as she remembered Fredâs date âAngelina. âWhat about Angelina?â
âSheâs busy with a Durmstrang guy. Besides, Iâm not really interested in her. I just donât have the courage to ask you out. Sheâs just a safe choice for me because sheâs my friend.â
Then they heard the music from the Hall. It was a slow and sweet music. Hermione wondered how it reached them when the previous songs they played didnât.
Fred turned her around so that she was now facing him. âI think this night isnât perfect enough yet. I think I owe you something.â
âWhat?â asked Hermione curiously.
âLetâs see. A dance perhaps? Will you dance with me?â
âOf course.â
And so, Fred and Hermione started to dance, a dance that will surely be carved in their minds forever, their very first dance together.
sorry. I wasn't able to post this immediately. I was sick. My allergy's a  bitch. So it might be a bit late for this since Christmas was a few days ago. Anyway, THIS MIGHT BE THE LAST CHAPTER. WHAT DO YOU THINK? SHOULD I CONTINUE?
Hermione was in a bad mood that sheâd scowl at every person whoâd call her. And then she spotted Harry, Ron, Fred and George huddled near the fireplace. Ginny and Hermione walked toward them. As they got nearer, the two girls could already hear what they were talking about.
âAngelina,â said Fred promptly, without a trace of embarrassment.
âWhat?â said Ron, taken aback. âYouâve already asked her?â
âGood point,â said Fred. He turned his head and called across the common room, âOi! Angelina!â
Angelina, who had been chatting with Alicia Spinnet, looked over at him.
âWhat?â she called back.
âWant to come to the ball with me?â
Angelina gave Fred an appraising sort of look.
âAll right, then,â she said, and she turned back to Alicia and carried on chatting with a bit of a grin on her face.
âThere you go,â said Fred to Harry and Ron, âpiece of cake.â
âOh git.â Hermione heard Ginny whispered to herself. âHey.â she added as she sat down beside Ron.
Professor McGonagall informed them about the Ball. She even made them practice a dance for the event. Immediately after the announcement, Hermione already imagined herself dancing and laughing with Fred. But of course, her dream was destroyed when she remembered Angelina-the lucky girl.
Hermione just stood there, shocked. Hearing Fred asked Angelina out to the Ball made her heart hurt as though the Hungarian Horntail just blasted her with fire. She knew Fred liked the girl and she already expected him to ask her. What made it more difficult for her was the fact that she was there when he asked another girl.
Although she already knew that he liked Angelina, Hermione couldnât help but hope that she was just mistaken and Fred was actually interested in her. After all, theyâve already shared a few kisses here and there. Well, of course, now she knew she was wrong -definitely wrong.
Seeing her, Fred looked shocked and he just stayed there as quietly as possible.
Hermione sat down in between Ginny and Ron. Her mood didnât lift up a bit after hearing Fred ask out another girl.
âWhatâs the matter with you?â asked Ron.
âNothing.â Hermione lied. Ron didnât believe her but he still dropped the subject. Although Hermione was relieved that Ron had the decency to stop asking her what her problem was, his next question made her want to strangle the boy.
âDo you already have a date Hermione?â
Instead of answering, Hermione scowled at Ron. Ginny giggled.
âWhatâs the matter with her?â Ron frowned.
âWell,â Ginny started, âguess who asked Hermione to the Ball.â Ginnyâs excitement was obvious that the boys couldnât help but be curious.
âWHO?â all of them asked eagerly.
âViktor Krum!â answered Ginny excitedly as she patted Hermione at the back.
âWHAT?!â Fred shouted, his eyes growing wide, his face turned red.
âKRUM?! Thatâs incredible!â George exclaimed.
âSERIOUSLY?!â Ron asked with wide eyes. âThatâs great Hermione! You can ask for an autograph and give it to me!â Ron added hopefully.
âRon,â Ginny sighed. âshe didnât accept.â The disappointment in Ron and Georgeâs face was obvious.
âWhy? Thatâs Krum! International Quidditch Star! Best Seeker in the world!â Ron said indignantly.
âAnd the love of Ronâs life!â George filled in as he nodded solemnly. Ginny laughed while Hermione merely smiled.
âShut up George.â Ron grumbled.
Ginny, Hermioneâs spokesperson, answered, âHermione doesnât want attention. Besides, Krumâs always surrounded by giggling girls. Hermione doesnât like that.â
âSo you donât have a date yet?â asked George.
Hermione nodded. She wasnât actually interested in going to the Ball. Not unless sheâd go with Fred. And of course, that would be impossible.
âUmmm, Hermione.â Harry started. Hermione was surprised. The boy wasnât talking almost the whole time. âI was just thinking if youâd like to go to the Ball with me?â He asked nervously.
Hermione looked at him, surprised. She looked at the others and saw that they were surprised as well. But what Hermione wanted to see was Fredâs expression. She glanced at him and she failed to know what he thought of what Harry said because his expression was unreadable. This made Hermioneâs heart drop, again.
She looked at Ginny one more time and saw her expression unchanged. She was surprised, and if Hermione wasnât mistaken, a little hurt. Hermione knew Ginny liked Harry ever since but she just cannot blurt it out. âAre you the only one who hasnât got a partner Harry?â asked Hermione.
âMe and Ron.â Harry answered. Ron just muttered something like âstupid girlsâ, but Hermione decided to ignore him.
âOh.â Hermione looked at Ginny for approval. The girl nodded and smiled a little. Anyway, sheâs going with Neville. Maybe she could set them up during the Ball.
Hermione faced Harry and smiled. âOh yeah sure. Iâd be glad to go with you.â Hermione said earnestly. If she canât go with Fred then it would be best to go with her best friend and brother (well, thatâs how they see each other anyway- siblings).
âThanks.â Harry smiled at her. He looked a bit relieved.
âOh great. So now itâs only me.â said Ron miserably. They all laughed at that.
The days dragged by and Harry told Hermione that the first task would be about dragons. He told her he needed to learn the Summoning Charm. They practiced and practiced day and night, in-between classes, before and after dinner. Hermione could sense Harryâs frustration. He was having a hard time doing it. But Hermione believed that he could do it. Harry was just pressured.
Finally, after a few days of hardships, Harry managed to do it. This made Hermione teary-eyed. After the excellent outcome of their practice, Hermione and Harry walked back to the Gryffindor Tower.
âOuch! Whatâs that for?â Harry asked as Hermione smacked him on the back.
Hermione smiled. She was worried about Harry facing a dragon for their first task but she cannot tell him that. It would only increase his fear and anxiety. So instead, she contented herself with insulting him just a bit.
âThat took a long time.â
âWhat?â
âThe summoning charm. Pathetic.â Hermione laughed as she put her arm around Harryâs waist. Harry, on the other hand, put his arm around Hermione shoulder and said, âWell, thanks to you.â And he kissed her at the temple.
At the exact moment, Fred and George came bursting out of the portrait hole of the Gryffindor place. âOh.â George said. Fred stared at them with a blank expression on his face.
When Fred and George left, Harry spoke, âIâm sorry.â
âWhat are you sorry for?â a confused Hermione asked.
âFred saw me kissing you. He might get the, er, wrong idea.â Hermione blushed at this. So Harry knows? Of course, she saw them during the other schoolsâ arrival.
âThereâs really no need for that. I mean, thereâs nothing between us you know.â she said, a bit sadly of course. Even after all that had happened during the World Cup, they never went beyond the friendship they have. Fred never expressed any desire to be with her.
âYouâll be okay.â Harry patted Hermione on the back before they went up to their dormitories.
*.*.*.*
Fred didnât speak to her AGAIN. Theyâve been like this for the past few months, and although Hermione was slightly bothered, she knew that in time, Fred would talk to her again. Thatâs just how he was. He didnât really hold a grudge.
Another thing was, he never talked to her about the times they fought or the times he just ignored her. Heâd just approach her like nothing happened. And that was a problem for Hermione. She didnât know how to discuss and talk about their fights. She became confused and tired of all the pushing and pulling Fred was doing to her. Because of that, she just decided to accept without so much of a thought.
âI know thatâs out of character but I just donât really know what to do. When it involves Fred, everythingâs messed up-my brainâs not properly working.â She thought.
âWhatâs your problem, dear old Hermione?â George asked in a sing-song voice as he plopped down beside her on the couch.
âWhat?â
âI said, whatâs the problem? You just let out a huuuuuugeee sigh and I just CANâT help but be curious and concerned. You know, as a big brother and possibly my future sister-in-law,-
-âWHAT?!â-
-I think itâs alright if youâd confide in me. You can trust me you know.â George continued as he batted his eyelashes at Hermione.
Ignoring his âyou can trust me statementâ Hermione said, âWhat are you on about? Ron and I are just friends! Why do you all think that thereâd be more?â
George rubbed his face with his hands and sighed. âHermioneeeee,â he whined. âyouâre just so- I canât believe youâre so- Itâs difficult for me to say this. Bloody Hell. This is complicated.â
âWhat? George? Whatâs the matter?â Hermione asked. She didnât know what was happening with this guy.
âNothing. Iâll just go.â George said, defeated. He got up and immediately walked away leaving a confused Hermione behind.
It was already the Halloween feast- days after the arrival of Beauxbatons and Durmstrang. They were excited to know who would be the Triwizard Champions. Although they decided to go to the Great Hall earlier than necessary, they found out half of the studentsâ population was already there. It wasnât surprising. Everyoneâs too excited and anxious to know who would be the three âfortunateâ competitors.
Hermione looked around. She saw that some of the older students were already as pale as Malfoy. They obviously put their names in the Goblet of Fire.
Speaking of putting names in the Goblet, Hermione scanned the Gryffindor Table to look for Fred. Theyâve been on speaking terms this past few days. Fred ignored her again after their unfortunate attempt at joining the competition. But that morning, Fred greeted her a cheerful good morning which made her choke on the juice she was drinking.
She didnât see him around so maybe he was still at the common room with George. Hermione frowned. Maybe they were still trying to get in the competition. âIdiots,â she muttered under her breath.
âWhat was that Hermione?â Harry asked her good-naturedly.
âOh. That was nothing.â She smiled at her best friend.
After a few minutes, Fred and George finally arrived. Fred sat beside Hermione and George beside his twin. He smiled at her and she smiled back.
âHope itâs Angelina,â said Fred. Hermione looked at him and saw that he was looking at Angelina with a smile on his face. She felt her heart tightened. âOf course, itâs going to be dear Angelina. NOT YOU.â
âYeah.â She muttered, not bothering to hide the lack of enthusiasm in her reply. Fred removed his gaze from the Quidditch Chaser and looked at Hermione with a frown. âIs there something wrong?â he asked.
Hermione just shook her head. Knowing that Fred would pester her if she didnât explain herself, she just pretended to listen to Ron talk about something Hermione couldnât really understand.
âWell, the goblet is almost ready to make its decision,â said Dumbledore. âI estimate that it requires one more minute. Now, when the championsâ names are called, I would ask them please to come up to the top of the Hall, walk along the staff table, and go through into the next chamberâ â he indicated the door behind the staff table â âwhere they will be receiving their first instructions.â
They all held their breath as they waited for the Goblet to decide who would be the Triwizard Champions. When the Goblet released the first paper which holds the name of the first champion, everyone didnât speak that you could possibly hear all over the hall Ronâs stomach growling when heâs hungry.
âThe champion for Durmstrang,â he read, in a strong, clear voice, âwill be Viktor Krum.â Almost everyone cheered at that. There were only a few students who groaned as Krumâs name was called.
âNo surprise there!â Ron yelled as he clapped loudly. Hermione rolled her eyes. The guy could pass as Krumâs mother âa very proud mother.
When they all quieted down and another paper shot out of the Goblet, Dumbledore took it and announced, âThe champion for Beauxbatons,â said Dumbledore, âis Fleur Delacour!â
âItâs her!â Ron shouted enthusiastically. Hermione looked at the girl he was pointing. That was the girl Ron fancies.
When Fleur vanished inside the room the Champions were supposed to stay, the last paper flew out of the Goblet. Whoever it was, Hermione was hoping that theyâd be able to surpass all trials.
âThe Hogwarts champion,â he called, âis Cedric Diggory!â
âYES!â Hermione cheered even before she could stop herself at the same time Ron shouted a loud no. But dread suddenly crept on her skin as she realized the consequences of Cedricâs participation in the tournament.
Cedricâs a friend. She couldnât take it if something bad would happen to him.
âExcellent!â Dumbledore called happily as at last the tumult died down. âWell, we now have our three champions. I am sure I can count upon all of you, including the remaining students from Beauxbatons and Durmstrang, to give your champions every ounce of support you can muster. By cheering your champion on you will contribute in a very real ââ
He didnât even finished his speech when another paper flew out of the Goblet. Everyone looked confused. Thatâs impossible.
Dumbledore took the paper and looked at it for a long time. Everyone held their breath.
âHarry Potter."
Hermioneâs eyes widened. It couldnât be. She started shaking as she looked at her best friend. Thatâs impossible. Harry couldnât compete. And as she searched his face, Hermione realized one thing- it wasnât Harry who put his name in the Goblet.
âHarry Potter.â Dumbledore repeated. Harry seemed to be glued to his seat. Hermione placed a comforting hand on his shoulder and whispered, âGo.â
Although she felt really sick for even letting the poor boy go through all of the things that would surely come his way, she didnât know what else to do. Hermione just have to trust Dumbledore on this one.
*.*.*.*
As they walked back to their tower, Ron and Hermione had a fight. The idiot believed that Harry really put his name in the Goblet and didnât even bother telling him. Ron believed Harry wanted all the glory to himself which made Hermione almost as angry as Voldemort. Not wanting to further talk to her friend, Hermione decided to just walk with Fred and George.
âHe should have told us that heâs planning to enter the tournament.â Fred said, torn between being irritated and awed with the situation.
âWhat?!â Hermione hissed.
âWhat what?â Fred asked confusedly.
âYou believed Harry really entered the tournament?â
Fred snorted. âOf course he did!â
âHe didnât!â
âHe did!â
âNo!â
âWill you two stop it!â George groaned as he walked farther from the two. Fred and Hermione ignored him and just continued with glaring at each other.
âI know Harry. He wouldnât want the attention and you know it!â she snapped.
âHow would I know?! Maybe he did. He just didnât tell you!â
âHarry would have told me if he wanted to!â
Fredâs jaw clenched. What was the problem of this guy? âOf course,â he muttered dangerously. His cold voice made Hermione shiver. âhe would. Wouldnât he? Heâd tell you everything. Youâre âvery closeâ arenât you? Best friends? Hell, youâre even more than that.â He walked away after that, leaving a gaping and frozen Hermione.
What was his problem? Just a few seconds ago, they were fighting about Harry entering or not entering the tournament. And then the next, he just accused her of being in a relationship with Harry.
It was the most anticipated day âthe arrival of the other two competing schools. Students were obviously excited. Class with Professor Snape was even cut short so that they could see and prepare for the guests. That made all of them pleased, especially Harry and Ron, of course. Hermione cannot deny, a break from their Potions professor is something worth celebrating, but of course, she wouldnât admit it to Harry and Ron.

All students waited for the two other schools to arrive. They were standing in front of the castle, shivering from cold. Hermione was standing beside Harry. This weather isnât in Hermioneâs list of the best things she wants.
Hermione was busy looking for some signs of their guests when she felt something warm. She saw Fred, standing behind her. He was putting his coat around her. Hermione was a bit surprised with the gesture. The last time he paid her any attention was already a long time ago. Fred had been avoiding her. Hermione didnât even know why. The last time he even looked at her was when they were at the common room after theyâve all heard Harry âaskedâ Hermione if they could go on a âdateâ.
And now, heâs here, being nice to her after a few days of ignoring her. Fred could be confusing sometimes. Well. Scratch that. He was confusing most of the time.
Heâs a push and a pull.
Fredâs hand never left Hermioneâs shoulder after that. She felt warmer, more because of Fredâs hand and not because of the coat.
âItâs cold here.â Fred simply said.
âTha-a-an-n-ks-s-s-s!â Hermione whispered.
Then they saw a huge carriage being pulled by dozens of winged- horses. All the students gasped. When the carriage landed at the grounds, the students, boys and girls, jumped outside it, following the largest woman she had ever seen. Hermione heard students whispered, âTheyâre beautiful!â and there were murmurs of agreement. Hermione agreed with them. Standing in front of them were beautiful boys and girls from Beauxbatons Academy.
Hermione felt someone squeezed her hand âit was Fred. She looked him questioningly. He smiled, bent down a little and whispered, âI prefer you. Youâre a lot more beautiful.â Hermione smiled happily at Fred. âThanks.â Fred squeezed her hand again, but this time, he didnât let go of her.
After a while, Durmstrang arrived in a big ship which emerged from the lake. Then just like the Beauxbatons, the Durmstrang students walked outside the ship and into the grounds. All of them were boys. And beside their headmaster was, in fact, none other than the Seeker of Bulgarian Quidditch team âViktor Krum.
âItâs Viktor Krum!â said the students excitedly.
Hermione squeezed Fredâs hand, turned her head back so that she could see Fred, signaled him to move a little closer and whispered, âI prefer you. Youâre better-looking.â
Fred smiled at Hermione, squeezed her hand and murmured, âThanks.â He kissed Hermione on the top of her head which surprised her since there were a lot of students there. He pulled Hermione closer him and put his unoccupied hand around her waist. Hermione didnât care even if the others see them. She knew Harry saw everything but he knew better than to say anything. What matters to Hermione is that Fredâs there and no pretty Beauxbatons girl can stop that.

âI donât believe it!â Ron said, in a stunned voice, as the Hogwarts students filed back up the steps behind the party from Durmstrang. âKrum, Harry! Viktor Krum!â
âFor heavenâs sake, Ron, heâs only a Quidditch player,â said Hermione. Ronâs continuous blabbing about Krum made her snap.
âOnly a Quidditch player?â Ron said, looking at her as though he couldnât believe his ears.
âHermione â heâs one of the best Seekers in the world! I had no idea he was still at school!â
Hermione rolled her eyes. Ronâs enthusiasm about Krumâs arrival made him even more annoying. Fortunately, Harryâs not like Ron. He was still calm and just like the usual Harry. And Hermioneâs thankful for that.Â

âAnyone put their name in yet?â Ron asked a third-year girl eagerly. Hermione, Ron and Harry went to the Great Hall earlier than they normally do but it seemed that theyâre not the only ones whoâd want to see dramas unfold as students from different schools attempt to put their name in the Goblet of Fire.
âAll the Durmstrang lot,â she replied. âBut I havenât seen anyone from Hogwarts yet.â
âBet some of them put it in last night after weâd all gone to bed,â said Harry. âI wouldâve if it had been me . . . wouldnât have wanted everyone watching. What if the goblet just gobbed you right back out again?â
Someone laughed behind Harry. Turning, Hermione saw Fred, George, and Lee Jordan hurrying down the staircase, all three of them looking extremely excited.
âDone it,â Fred said in a triumphant whisper to Harry, Ron, and Hermione. âJust taken it.â
âWhat?â said Ron.
âThe Aging Potion, dung brain,â said Fred. Hermione resisted the urge to smack him in the head for insulting his brother and her best friend.
âOne drop each,â said George, rubbing his hands together with glee. âWe only need to be a few months older.â
âWeâre going to split the thousand Galleons between the three of us if one of us wins,â said Lee, grinning broadly.
âIâm not sure this is going to work, you know,â said Hermione warningly âIâm sure Dumbledore will have thought of this.â
Fred, George, and Lee ignored her, much to Hermioneâs annoyance.
âReady?â Fred said to the other two, quivering with excitement.
âCâmon, then â Iâll go first ââ
The twins stepped into the Age line, which was set up by Dumbledore himself, and put their names in the goblet. At first, they all thought that they succeeded. Hermione felt her heart quickened. What if it was Fred who was chosen by the goblet? She felt her knees weakened a bit. She clutched Harryâs robe for support and held her breath, waiting for the result of the twins idiocy.
It was only a few seconds of triumph for the twins though. Without any warning, they were thrown painfully at the ground. All the students, including Hermione, laughed as the twins sprouted long white beards.
The twins were shocked at first. But after a while, they joined in the laughter as they saw each otherâs face. The mirth in Fredâs face was gone in an instant when his eyes landed on Hermione, who was laughing really hard whilst still clutching Harry for support. He immediately stood up and walked away, with George and Lee following him, both laughing so hard they were already red in the face.
Hermioneâs laugh died immediately as she saw Fredâs reaction. Was he insulted by her action?
Hi! There's a part here where I've already posted before (as a gift to SAKIY). I just thought that it's best to add it here. (Hope it's okay SAKIY). And by the way, there's a lot of lines I took directly (and some edited) from the HP GoF book.Â
I thought I'd be able to concentrate on my stories. But of course, school papers need to interfere with my plan. On top of that, we have to clean this dump site we call a house. Â :((((
I'd still try to write and finish at least any of the two stories I'm currently writing.
