“Oh wow I’m so sorry.” Josslyn said the boxes she was carrying blocking her vision. Leaving the boutique she was kicking herself for not asking for help to carry them out to her car, blame it on the independence. Sighing she bent down slowly to reach for the boxes, “Oh-” she stopped as the other began to help. “Thank you so much” she looked up, her smile not wavering. “Sophie.” she beamed. “You’re too kind and I just bumped into you of all things.” she laughed. The tiny baby shoe on the pavement she grabbed it, smiling. @sophie-sinclair

With no indications of her plans to come over, she could only pray that she hadn’t been interrupting something by showing up. The last time the two had seen each other, it was during the town wide camping event and knowing how awful that had ended, Mercy couldn’t help but to check on her. Everything about that trip doing a complete 180 and before anyone knew it, they were starring in a horror film. Not exactly the best way to end an event.
Though judging by how .. normal the other was acting, it seemed she really didn’t need much checking up on. Feeling her body being pulled into an embrace, the blonde immediately reciprocated and did the same; arms wrapping around her figure. “The difference between Fuller House and Peach Hollows, we’re the ones stuck with a mad man, or woman, on the loose.” Taking a step back, her expression was written with disapproval while her eyes sparked with worry. Mercy didn’t bother to say much more on the matter, knowing that Joss was well aware of the message being sent her way. Instead she brought that same smile to her face, “Depends. You got anythin’ sweet in that kitchen of yours?” But even as the question was asked, her feet were already guiding her back toward the kitchen.
“True.” Josslyn chuckled breathlessly if only they were in a family sitcom where the worst thing to happen would usually just teach them all a lesso and the episode still ended with a hug or two. “Well hopefully the police catch this nut case. I’m sick of it or them ruining our town. It’s enough like people don’t already have enough going on.” she rolled her eyes opening her fridge and smiling. She knew that Merc was not one who was being spared by this so called Peacher fellow either, worried for her friend she was glad that she was just safe in her place and kept in touch daily, the inner mom in her making sure of it. “I made some brownies yesterday and I think I have a carton of vanilla ice cream we can make an allamode?” she said with a promising smile.

From the moment new broke about Josslyn’s pregnancy, nothing but excitement seemed to radiate from Mercy. She was going to be an auntie. Just the thought of it was enough to have the blonde smiling from ear to ear — happy she was able to be apart of such a amazing experience. A shining light within the dark clouds that seemed to cover Peach Hollows recently. Which was honestly something Mercy planned to soak up for as long as possible.
“Joss?” Mercy called out from the entrance of her best friend’s home before taking a a single daring step inside. “Your door was open, so I’m takin’ that as an invitation to come inside. Speakin’ of, didn’t anyone ever teach about how dangerous that is?”
Josslyn was up in the nursery trying to get some work done, but she felt awfully tired and as timing would have it she heard her name being called. Closing the bedroom door behind her she started down the stairs, her face lighting up in glow-like hue as she saw the blonde hair of her best friend. “Merc!” she beamed.
Reaching for the other she embraced her, her small belly keeping them a small distance, “Oh I know Bailey is on me about that all the time, especially with the Peacher I just forget. I like to think of my house like the fuller house on tv, the it’s always open motto probably not good in a time like this.” she chuckled. “Ugh I’ve missed you, I’m glad you came It’s time for me to take a break anyway. Hungry?”

“It’s different to live in a small town, isn’t it? Than just spending the summer. Especially after living somewhere else, a bigger city. It was weird moving back here after all these years away from home, but it’s good to be back home, feels nice.” Brad told her with a soft smile, his hands inside his pockets after he handed Josslyn the bug spray. His eyes didn’t look away from her not even for a second, it was still unbelievable that she was standing there, right in front of him. He hasn’t seen her in ages, not even since that night, he didn’t expect to feel this way after all this time. “Thanks.” The man smiled at her but soon his smile started to disappear, frowning his brow softly at her. Of course she had a boyfriend now, what did he expect? “I’m uh-happy for you too. I hope he makes you happy and treats you well.”
“It is weird, it’s strange to see the seasons here not just summer. But I like it. Houston was fun.. but this place feels like the place you wanna raise a family grow old. It’s safe.” she spoke knowing that the last bit was mostly true besides the whole Peacher aspect. She smiled softly, tilting her head, “I’m glad you’re here. Bet it does feel nice to be home, somewhere familiar.” she added. After spraying herself down a little too much she handed the bottle back, thanking him once more. She tried to read his face, gage his reaction she wondered what he’d think if she told him she was having a baby as well. Biting her lip a little nervously she nodded, thinking about Bailey wondering if he’d be wondering why she was gone so long. “He does. Uh-thank you.” she added, “And you? Are you-” she didn’t know how to phrase it so instead she settled for this, “Are you happy?”
baileyrobins:
In the beginning, Bailey was having a good time camping. It was a different atmosphere than being in a house, and everyone was there so seeing everyone was nice. Once things started getting more hectic, Bailey did his best to stay but ultimately ended up making Josslyn and him leave. He felt bad that they didn’t stay to help, but he really just didn’t want Josslyn in the crossfire of whatever happened. Sitting outside on the patio, he sighed softly. “I’m sorry we had to leave. I just didn’t feel comfortable.” he spoke softly, as he watched the dog sniff around in the yard.
@just-josslyn
It was nice while it lasted, the sunshine, the fresh-air being with friends of theirs and spending alone time together as well. However, when everything went down Josslyn felt the same impending doom feeling that she felt the night her secret got exposed and didn’t second guess Bailey’s choice to leave. When home she took a deep breath, turning and dead-bolting the front door. Sitting on the back patio and rocking in the chair she reached for his hand, “It’s okay babe- I’d much rather have a little staycation here anyway. It was fun though.. those poor folks though. Do you think they’ll get the police involved finally with this guy? This is getting too unsafe..” she rubbed her thumb over his knuckles.

I don’t want to wake up and have you not be here again. I’ll be here. I’m not going anywhere.

Bailey knew he’d be worried pretty much the entire time when they would go camping, and he knew she’d tell him not worry but now, he wouldn’t stop. He wanted to make sure she was safe in every single scenario. “You can eat as many smores as you want. You deserve it.” He said, squeezing her side a bit. “He probably would. Uncle Z? Definitely.” Nodding, Bailey made her he had everything and headed down towards the car. Josslyn was going to have to drive, and they both knew that, so he made sure everything was clean before heading back into the house.
*time jump*
It wasn’t long until they had set up the tent. Bailey knew what he was doing when it came to camping. It was much easier to him instead of a foreign language like setting up the crib. He let out a laugh as he nodded, his hand on his hips. “Yeah, much better.” He agreed, before looking around at everyone mingling around. They seemed to have gotten to the campground a little later than everyone and Bailey didn’t mind it. He could feel the pressure of Jo’s arms around his waist, as he placed his hands on top of hers. “Swim would be really nice. You wanna go in?” He asked, leaning his head down towards hers.
It was endearing to her that he cared so much, for the both of them. He was already going to be the best father and looking at him she knew that there was something about Bailey that she’d never get used to and it was how he loved her so deeply and how she felt the exact same. “Well it’s gonna get sticky up in here because I’m feeding you some too.” she smirked. Nodding she couldn’t agree more, giving Zack’s door a tap, and smiling before going into their room.
~time jump~
“I don’t know babe, something about you pitching a tent is doing something to me.” she teased with a little wink. Walking towards him she rested her chin on his shoulder as she held him. “I’d love too, I have my suit on under my clothes.” she beamed. “One day we’ll have to get a boat, so that you can be that hot dad that drags our kids around the lake on the tube and I tell you to slow down but then they go flying.. all that.” she chuckled. “But for now. Two donut tubes floating on this god awful scorching day is perfect to me” she kissed him. “Okay let’s go.”
livmarchant:
“He’s already vaguely a grumpy old man, but I mean that with nothing but love.“ She laughed. Bailey and Jo were so good for each other, and it was just nice to see them happy. “Sunflowers sound beautiful, let’s do this!” The mention of Sonny wilted Liv’s smile a bit, thinking back to a rougher time in her life. “I’m sure he would of fainted, but he wasn’t there.” She joked, a smile still on her face even if it wasn’t as bright as before. “My brother and my best friend were there though, and those boys stuck it out. ” It was a happier way of remembering Lucy’s birth, how Sonny the only thing she had gotten from Sonny was a text message apology three days late.
Josslyn chuckled knowing that Bailey at work was surely the grumpy old man that Liv saw him as.Knowing her love did have his days she smirked, her nose scrunching if she was his Elllie in this story than she’d take it. Her heart warming. “Yes! Perfect! Ugh I want them to be a staple for her, Bailey kinda got them for me before we were official almost every time he saw me, always fresh. It’s our thing so I want them to be apart of her.” she said her hands finding her belly. Jo felt a twinge of pain in her chest, she didn’t mean to say the wrong thing. Truth be told as close as they were they never really got into their past, and so she wouldn’t have known and immediately regretted saying something. “Oh Liv, I’m sorry- I didn’t-” she stopped. “Feel free to ignore me. I’m an idiot.” she blurted. “I can still happily go full on hormonal pregnant lady and kick his ass.” she teased but genuinely felt bad. “Well what matters is he’s in her life now right?” she offered trying to think of positives.
bradxjones:
“Oh, cool. Are you liking it? I mean, living here. Because as far as I know you only spent summers here, living is different.” Bradley said looking at her curiously, he knew her grandmother passed away, his mother told him about it, so why would she move here? Why Peach Hollow of all cities she could have gone? Bigger cities. “Yeah, yeah, I do. Sorry. Gimme a second,” He told her before walking in his tent, reaching for his backpack to grab the bug spray. the man walked closer to her, closer than he was before to hand it to her. “I’m still saving lives, but here. I moved to the coast, lived there for a couple years but life had other plans for me, apparently.” Brad pressed his lips together looking at her, he wasn’t sure if she knew about his mother’s cancer. “I didn’t know you liked camping. It’s not something we have done while we were together.”
“I am.” she blurted almost too fast. It was true, living here was much different than summers, but seeing the town year round made her fall even more in love with the quiet little town. It was her home now too, and soon her daughters. Biting her lip she nodded, letting her eyes do a little wandering while he grabbed the bug spray. Time had been good to him, it hurt her heart a little knowing that the last time she saw him how bad things were. How all that time they never spoke, never even followed eachother on social media again, nothing but silence..radio.silence. and now having him here felt like static. She didn’t know how to feel so much had happened, she wondered about him at times and even more so now. Like was that scar new? And how his southern accent wasn’t as prominent since he’d been gone. “Thanks.” she took it spraying some almost immediately. From blue orbs she looked up at him, “Wow. You did it.” she smiled softly, proud of him. “I’m happy for you Brad.Really.” she said genuinely. She wanted to ask him so much, about his job, his family, if he still liked all the same things, why he never called even after her accident.. she wondered if he knew. Swallowing she titled her head, “It’s something new..I figured I’d try.” she mentioned. “My uh-my boyfriend. He enjoys it.” she finally broke the news, wondering if any moment a girl would climb out of his tent and make her feel the same way he was maybe feeling.
baileyrobins:
When Bailey let his mind run wild, it ran. He was thinking about her first steps, and then her first teeth, and then her senior prom, and walking her down the aisle at her wedding. Their little girl. He couldn’t stop thinking. He wanted to grow old with Josslyn and see their baby girl grow up to be a wonderful woman like her mother. He kissed her back, with more emotion than he had in awhile. Just the thought of them having a small little peanut in the house made him giddy with excitement. “You need to relax.” he confirmed. “we need to be safe. make sure tons of bug spray, and watch where you’re stepping so you don’t trip.” he said, brushing her blonde hair out of her hair. “we’ll have fun.” he assured her, taking the bags from her so she didn’t have to carry the weight. “He’ll be excited. Maybe more excited than we are.” Bailey grinned at her. “I’m gonna put these in the car, and then we shower? Get all the paint and sawdust off of us. and then we can head out, okay?”
It was easy to get carried away, thinking of the days ahead their future together Bailey and her sipping sweet tea on the front porch as their little girl grows. To many it seemed like a fairytale and she truly was living her own with him. Soon the three of them. Taking a deep breath she licked her bottom lip after their kiss, knowing he was right. Nodding she agreed she had no complications she was aware of and it was her job to keep them both safe. He always knew when she was overthinking and getting ahead of herself, the way she calmed so easily with his touch and voice never growing old. “We will. I’m determined. I think I’m looking forward too much to those s’mores.” she laughed. Handing him the bags she followed, grabbing her clothes for the shower. “You think he can top our excitement?” he chuckled teasing. It was true though, Zack was their biggest supporter of course he’d be rooting for their baby girl. A hand went to her belly rubbing it softly. “Sounds good. I’m going to jump in, meet me in when you’re done.” she said blowing him a kiss and turning to get the water started.

“Well it’s already looking better than the crib.” Josslyn chuckled looking at their tent that Bailey and her had up within minutes. She insisted on helping claiming that she could do it and it wasn’t ‘that hard’. Setting up their bed she zipped up the tent so it wouldn’t allow bugs in while they did some exploring. “How about a swim?” she wrapped her arms around his torso from behind. Kissing his neck, “You deserve it.”
@just-josslyn
“Aha! I knew it!” Josslyn exclaimed with an enthusiastic grin as she pointed at her friend from across the fire. It was something she loved about camping trips, the campfire conversation at the end of the night a few drinks for those able, some s’mores, soft music in the background and good people surrounding you. It was something she was enjoying particularly on this night as she mused with her best friend, “See I knew you were a burn the marshmallow until it’s on fire kinda gal. See the slow burn is a pain but the golden brown just hits differently.” she nodded taking a bite. “Here, try.” @mercywilliams
