finding splinters long after getting them
when the skin is so dry it's the only thing you can think of
when the fungi makes small bubbles underneeth the top layer of skin and you rip it open
finding large skin flakes lying around from when you ripped off skin earlier
filing down the skin to make it smooth
showing people how soft your hands have gotten after medicating properly for a while
when the dry skin flakes feels like sand paper
knowing there's nothing that can be done about it really, seeing as it's in your genes
getting pieces of skin stuck in your throat
microfibers feeling super uncomfortable
What's KPP?
KPP is short for Keratodermia palmo plantaris. It's a genetic mutation that effects the hands and feet, that makes is so that you don't lose the dead layers of skin naturally. It also makes the skin more susceptible to foot fungus. There's also a bunch of other stuff that happens but that's the gist of it. You can read more about it in the faq tab. Or you can just go to just-KPP-things.tumblr.com/faq to get there directly if you're on mobile.
When the skin gets so easy to rip off after being in water
Hating your hands (and feet) because of your kpp
Knowing your kpp will only get worse with age
Licking your hands as a desperate attempt to make them better after them drying out, even though you know it only makes it worse
Eating the skin you rip off
When you finally rip of the piece of dry skin that had been bothering you
