Ford knows. He knows what he has to do. It hurts him deep in his chest to have to do it, but he knows what he has to do. If he has a chance to kill Billā even if he has to murder his own nephew in the process āitās worth it. One boy, one tiny boy is an insignificant blip on a cosmic scaleā but Bill? He threatens the entire multiverse, forever.
All of infinity, versus one small boy? Stan may be the shyster, but Fordās never been known to turn his nose up at a deal either.
He tries to compartmentalize it like that. Dipperās a smart boy, if thereās any part of him in there thatās still conscious or even alive, he would understand. He would do the same thing if the roles were reversedā he knows that first hand, Dipper had tried to shoot him with the memory gun when he thought Bill was possessing him.
He knows Dipper would understand. That doesnāt make it any easier.
With a single pull of the trigger, the destabilizer fires a horrible, deadly ray right at his nephew, stabbing through his gut and out the other side, knocking him clear off his feet and onto his back, sprawling. No, not his nephewā Bill. He has to remind himself, itās Bill.
And oh man, what a powerful blast it was.
The second it hit and connected with the small frame the Bipper was currently possessing, he was knocked off his feet, and he went far, skidding slightly at the pure force of the gun. Well,- if anything did it, itād be that.
āHah-ā A sort of breathy, but clearly very amused beginning of a laugh was the instinctive response he got, slowly pushing himself up on his elbows.Ā
Ah, Fordsy. Predictable as always.
Now, if you tried to say Bill was a bad actor by any means, youād find yourself to be very wrong. He could copy āhisā bodyās voice to the T, could mimic their facial expressions, really sell to the audience that he was them. He just found it funnier not to.
But here, that kind of works. Who would look at Dipper, previously being possessed by Bill, now after being shot, looking at Ford as he was, emotions bubbling, and none of them good (panic, some sprinkles of betrayal, fear and pain- the whole works) and think itās still Bill?
āGr-Great unkle.. Ford?āĀ 'Dipperā winced. After a shot like that, this body wasnāt going to last very long. So the words came out sounding strained, painful, and thatāll only add to the nightmare fuel the demon was sure this would be.Ā āI thought- W h y,Ā I thought you wanted me to be your- your apprentice-..ā
