Study Pack #2
by Eintsein
Itâs a new year, and whether youâre looking to organize your current study process, or try out something more productive, this study pack can help you out. These are some of the methods I use to help myself study more effectively, and Iâve decided to make some printables out of them so that you can use them too!
In this study pack:
Day Tracker: to schedule your day or keep track of how you use your time.
Past Paper Tracker: to track all the past papers youâre practicing.
Past Paper Summary: to summarize the trends in your past papers so you can plan your studying accordingly.
Topic Tracker: to track the topics that appear in the past papers.
Syllabus Tracker: to help you know where you currently are in your syllabus: whatâs been done and whatâs left to do, along with how well you know the material
Click here to download! (link to study drive)
Hope these help, and donât forget to tag me with #eintsein when you use them - Iâd love to see them in action! And if you have any questions, drop me an ask/message. Have an awesome day :)
P.S. Examples of how to use some of these printables are in the gifs above, but of course, youâre free to use them in whatever method works best for you. For example, for the topic tracker, instead of distinguishing between the number of marks for the question, you could keep track of how many marks youâve received for that topic (i.e. 100% means you get full marks for every single question of that topic).
â seize time opportunities. If I have 15 minutes until your next class, I sit down and do homework in the hallway. If I have a long commute, Iâll do flashcards. This works because you most likely wonât have anything else to do anyways, so itâs easier to get your work done.
â start something. When I get a lab report assignment, the first thing I do is pull up the directions and at least start the cover page and pull up some research links. It takes 5 minutes but it gets the ball rolling and makes it more likely that youâll finish what you started.
â auto-mode. When I procrastinating, itâs usually because Iâm too busy thinking about what Iâm going to do. Instead, I like to pretend Iâm in âauto-modeâ and just get started as fast as I can. auto-mode means shutting out distracting thoughts or pleas to watch one more funny cat video and forcing your hands to open your textbook. Works every time.
â personally, creating time schedules donât work for me because if I fall out of time, the whole schedule falls apart and I usually give up. Instead I use time games. Iâll tell myself something like âwork as hard as you can until 11:00 sharp and if you finish, you can have a breakâ. This is great for developing self discipline because itâs in the moment so you can be more realistic and flexible.
â i donât like writing down earlier due dates in my planner because itâs confusing so instead, itâs good to have some sort of mental rule. for example, my mental rule is to finish everything at least two days before the due date. following through with that will keep you on track.
â do a little bit every day. If you have a big project, chip at it within a week rather than stressing out 2 days before itâs due. the same goes for studying for an exam. if you review lecture notes and attend office hours after class + work on flashcards throughout the week, then do a final review at the end, youâll be well prepared and wonât need to cram. Itâs a good habit and you wonât get stressed. Two birds with one stone.
â use mornings too. Iâm not really an early bird, but using mornings to get some work / chores done is great because it gives you a productive start to the day, which makes you feel proud of yourself for knocking out half of your tasks in the a.m.Â
a. Lay out your lecture notes / worksheets on the table the night before and open your work tabs on your computer so theyâll be the first thing you see when you turn on your computer.
b. Put your computer far away from your work space and go to sleep.
c. When you wake up, the first thing that youâll see is your âpaperâ work, so get it done first. then start on your âscreenâ work (youâll be less likely to get distracted if you do your âpaperâ work first). when you open your laptop the first thing youâll see are the work tabs you opened the night before. Your job is to go on auto-mode and get started.
Good luck with self-discipline. Youâll do great. - hana from thoughtscholar
Back at it again with another long post! Iâm done for the semester, so Iâll have more time to work on my blog. I updated my theme on desktop and mobile, so feel free to go check that out! As always, wishing you all the best of luck with your studies (á”ᎄá”)
Annotation
Make sure to read the poem at least 3 times over. Skim once, and read twice. Skim and read once each if you donât think you have enough time. Donât let the length of it to intimidate you. Annotate anything that will help you to answer the question. Answering the question, aside from literary devices on their own, is the most important. Be selective about the quotes and literary devices you find, and which ones you can write about more.

Little things that help moods:
- getting enough sunshine - opening the curtains - eating regular meals - short walks with your favourite music - donât stay up until 3am - donât try to relate to negative tumblr text posts - get off tumblr/social media if itâs unhealthy - shower - donât stay in bed the whole day - plan out your day - listen to music - change your clothes - set yourself small goals - say yes to fun events - drink water, it takes 5 seconds - talk to a close friend - remind yourself: a bad mood can lie to you - youâre not unwanted or hopeless - you deserve love so be nice to yourself
Making the perfect study plan
Exams are getting closer and now is the perfect time to create a solid study plan to get motivated and be productive. Here are some tips to help you making your study plan!
You donât need a fancy planner. You can just use Excel to create it as you like and it will be more than enough!
Make a list of all the topics you have to study and gather similar subjects in the same category. Then, classify them by priority order.
Estimate the amount of time youâll need to study each topic. Donât underestimate it : you have to take all the time you need to understand and memorize, otherwise youâll end up rushing things up and not being productive enough. I remember adding 1 hour more than I thought I would need so I could have plenty of time to go deeper in the subject without stressing myself out.
Know when youâre the most effective and do the hardest tasks in that moment. Keep the lighter subjects for the rest of the day. When I was doing my first med school year I would always study chemistry and physics in the mornings and the rest in the afternoon and evening !
Plan your breaks and meals. If you want to watch an episode from your favorite TV show, plan it. Your free time is important too! Make to create time for daily activities that fulfill you :)
Plan your delay! Set a day in your planner where you just catch up on everything youâre late on so you donât get super stressed if your study day didnât go as planned ! I always use my Sundays as « delay days » haha
If you have enough time, try to plan review sessions of the topics youâve already seen. When I was studying anatomy I would make review sessions one day a week so I could memorize in the best way possible.
Also, plan a day or half a day to test yourself. Do it early enough to re-adjust your study plan if you feel like you have to spend more time reviewing a certain topic!
And you, what are your âplanning habitsâ? Do you use a planner ?
Please reblog and like this post if you want more tips like this one!
Hey guys.
Iâm not a huge content creator or anything, but we have to sit down and talk about something extremely important.
Article 13 in Europe is in its final stages of voting, and could end us content creators for good.
Youâre probably thinking: whoa. This isnât the content I signed up for, what the heck? But this is important and could change the world of the Internet as we know it.
Now, Iâm no legal powerhouse but MatPat from Game Theory/Film Theory did an amazingly detailed video explaining how this could destroy us.
This article basically can destroy fandoms. Remember the whole thing of the Internet being regulated a while back, and how we would have to be forced to pay for spesific website access? Net Neutrality? This is arguably worse than that. I have a small taste in the legal field so when I say the language is too vague in the article and will be taken advantage of, I mean it.
In the legal world, wording is really, really important. This article might not be as terrible if the wording was more spesific than âIn good faithâ, etc etcâŠ
This article has the potential to bring down fandoms as we know it, take away your favourite youtubers (along with an insanely large amount of people, Iâm talking millions) jobs, censor people in fandoms, etc. All the beautiful fanart I reblog from my current fandom? Illegal. Markiplier, JackCepticEye, GameGrumps, Game Theory, everyone. Even animators like JadenAnimations or TheOddOnesOut will be hit hard- most of their animations have stuff in them that would be considered copyright under this new law.
Youâre probably thinking âThis is just in Europe. I donât need to care.â I thought that too. And thatâs a terrible, terrible misconception the lawmakers in the EU want you to think.
Companies, usually spanning across multiple continents have rules and regulations adhering to the strictest continent so that they donât have to have different regulations across the globe. (Again, MatPat does a much better job at explaining this than I do.) The thing is, if Europe passes this article, we in the United States would be hit too, equally as hard.
Please, please. Save the internet. Save our culture. Save the diversity of this wonderful (and sometimes terrible) place that we, the public, have built. Donât let these big companies make the Internet something that is only accessible to the highest bidder. The Internet itself was created for the millitary, then spesifically spread out to the public. The Internet needs our protection- let us protect it.
Please spread the word about this article. Tell your friends in the EU to talk to their representatives about this, and let us convince them in the legislature on how important this is to us. Donât let them take this away from us.
