I hope these words find you under moon's light. How are you settling into the city? We don't know your living arrangements—I hope they're comfortable. I've heard the baazaar there is magnificent. Maybe they have the stock for you to make foods that remind you of home? If you want to remember. Did you hang up the daisies? We miss you.

I hope these words find you under moon's light. The nights are getting cold again. How is it in Radz-at-Han? Make sure you bundle up, if you need. You were always so careless with the cold.
I've pressed more daisies into this paper. I don't know if yours are still well. I had to replace the ones at your door monthly, when you were still here. Do you remember? Your father won't let me take the last chain down. I've told him they're an errant breath from shattering, but he insists. I think he imagines you still brushing your hands against them on your way out. At least, I do.

I hope these words find you under moon's light. I hear things here and there, you know? Even if you don't tell me. You've done a marvelous job splitting the thread, but never well enough that I can't connect the ends back together. Maybe that's your way of letting me know.
It seems you're well. It seems, at least, you're helping people be well. That's as much as I could hope for. I know why you don't write back, but I wish you would. I hope the light is shifting the way you want it to.

I hope these words find you under moon's light. I spend some days sweeping up flecks of petals from under your doorway. I've saved them in a jar. I see your father looking at it, sometimes. It's all he can do not to ask the others at the market if they've heard more about the alchemist at Yuuj. We don't want to raise suspicion, don't worry. We get by with the scraps of news that come through.
You won't want to hear this, but what we've pieced together makes us proud. No—keep reading—we're glad for your path. We know you can't look back. It hurts too much. You probably think that's what you deserve. That was always your wont. Whether or not you deserve it... well, that isn't for me to say. I know you wouldn't hear it, anyway.
We only hope your path leads you somewhere that meets with ours. I have to believe that turn is coming. Just, don't let it be too far away?
