Grimshire Community Projects:
Year One
Hello everyone!
This post will give you the requirements for the community projects for year one. This will help you prepare for each season’s task to prevent anyone dying. I will list down both options. I will list the pros and cons of each option as well to hopefully make your decision easier.
Some starter tips:
•If you fail to complete any of the quests by their due dates, one of the marriage candidates will die!
•Get critters ASAP! As a quest in summer will require some things you can only get from a butcher table. At least on hutch will do.
•visit mines often. Be sure to bring food that give you the most stamina to help you last longer. You can buy prepared foods from the stores in town.
•plant a seed for trees you take off your farm. This will help keep you stocked on your farm as well as keep some stuff for future quests thqt you can only get from trees!
•stores restock every Sunday. Buy whatever materials you can from the stores to help competes quests. This means visiting the mines often to acquire gems to sell. Only sell food if it’s about to spoil!
•You can buy saws from Rowan and Smelters from Gruff every Sunday for 300 coins.
•you can buy preserved foods from the fishing store, prudences, ranch and the tavern to use for the cellar.
•whatever foods in the cellar that aren’t preserved, take them and preserve them on your farm and return them.
•tree seeds are a great way to stock up for herbivore as they don’t spoil. Pay attention to in season trees and take advantage by shaking them!
•Foraging doesn’t cost stamina. So nice you run out from other tasks, start foraging!
Spring:
Quest: Herbs or mushrooms
Start date: Spring 4
Due Date: Spring 19
Option One: Hazel’s Herb Garden
Good option for medicine as stated by hazel. Not really used as food option and herbs provide less stamina. The herbs will show up in the food cellar. This option does use less materials.
•300 Stone (forest mines 1-10, map)
•100 play debris (farm/weeds)
•50 compost (compost bin, Girtles, General store)
•50sticks (shaking trees, branches)
•20 mint (Forrest, seeds from harvesting)
•20 pepperwort flowers (marsh, seeds from prudence store)
Option 2: Rose’s Mushroom Hut
As stated by Rose, this will be used as a food source for the town. Mushrooms do provide more stamina when consumed as these will show up in the food cellar. This option does require more materials such as wood that could be used elsewhere. You will be able to forage a substantial amount of mushrooms yourself on the map, Girtles will also provide mushrooms and you have the mushroom logs that will reproduce mushrooms each day.
•150 hard wood (oak, Hawthorne and walnut trees, Rowan’s carpentry) (will need at least a copper axe)
•150 soft wood (maple, plum, cherry and apple trees, Rowan’s carpentry) (minimum of copper axe)
•75 sticks (trees and branches)
•200 Stones (Forrest mines 1-10)
•100 compost (compost bin, general store, Girtles)

•150 plank (saw, Rowan’s Carpentry, mines chests &destroying said chests)

This will give you more fish than why the fish pond would and will help you in completing the museum. You will also not need and iron or nickel bars so you can use them elsewhere!

If you chose to take the predator, you will already have a meat supply coming in. If you didn’t take the predator, then maybe pick this option. But is losing forageables and crops worth it?
