Grimshire: 8 Tips
Hello!
I have made my adventure into Grimshire! I am in love with this dark story cozy game. Here are some starter tips that I threw together as I begin playing.
1. stock up on nuts/seeds from trees! Throw them in the smoker and you’ll have an infinite source of food for your herbivores! You can also just throw them in there as is and it’ll still work. Keep them stored in a chest and take them out on the winter. You’ll have enough foragebles and crops to get you through the other seasons. Make sure you replant any trees you chop down as well to help with this. This will make sure your supply keeps rolling in. It will help you get through ration requirements and winter! You can also put some in the press to make butters and flours!
2. Upgrade your fishing rod and fishing skill! This will be one of your main sources for carnivore foods.
3. Complete the donation mile stones to get the building blueprints from Adeline. That way you can salt foods and make wines. When you salt, honey and pickle your foods they won’t expire! Making peanut butter and flours from the press also don’t expire!
4. Your main source of income will come from the gems you sell from the mines! As well as lanterns. You can also get dried fish and other foods from the chests in the mines as well that you can use as stamina or in my opinion, for the cellar.
5. Make the water spouts and pipes for your farm to save on time and stamina
6. Drying racks! Make a lot to help with food stock.
7. Getting your coup and barn early is a must since food is such a big deal in this game. And you are able to butcher the creatures to get meat. All the kale coup animals don’t produce any product. So they are going to be your main source of meat. Coup animals are also easier to find than barn animals. You can talk to Kai daily to ask if there is any critters around and where they are. I will provide links down below for barn and coup critters, where and when to find them and their food to take them.
8. Talk to villagers daily as you see them as they will give you quests and the rewards will help with the cellar and other things. If you go into the villager tab in your menu and scroll through, it’ll tell you who has a quest for that day. The meet and greet is crucial on the first day as all the villagers have your basic farming tools and some equipment!
