imagine an AU where marinette finds out chat is adrien through a game of UNO

okay hear me out this is Important with a capital I even if it’ll never happen bc these two are idiots

one of the biggest reasons marinette doesn’t think chat is adrien is because they act so differently, and for the most part, chat and adrien HAVE been pretty different 

”adrien” is the perfect persona: he’s kind, he’s a model, he’s the poster golden boy 

BUT IMAGINE THIS

ladybug hangs out with chat sometimes after patrols, and sometimes when they’re finished early they’ll play boardgames 

chat usually concedes with whatever Ladybug wants, but when they start playing UNO, not only does he get super competitive but he gets super technical

“HAH you really think you can win against me?” 

“NO YOU CANNOT ADD 4+ ONTO A 2+” 

“YOU CAN END ON A SPECIAL CARD DO YOU EVEN KNOW HOW TO PLAY THIS?” 

Ladybug is genuinely surprised, and although it’s not shocking that he gets competitive, it’s strange he gets so competitive even with her 

Chat also gets really into the game and he starts shouting at one point when he wins

He throws a whole tantrum the one time he loses against Ladybug despite winning the last 48 rounds and literally ignores her 

NOW THINK OF ADRIEN 

alya, nino, marinette and adrien also have their little hangouts sometimes and they’ll play boardgames 

Marinette, having entertained Chat by playing uno 23487 times with him, believes she’s pretty decent at the game now because she’s had so much practice 

They start playing and Adrien gets super into it 

All of them are shocked to the bone because woah, this is Adrien Agreste we’re talking about who’s literally the least competitive person ever because he lets people win and is in general such a sweet person 

But he starts getting really into the game 

Literally GLOATS when he wins against them 

After a couple rounds, all of them are more or less intimidated by Uno Adrien 

Except his behaviour is really familiar to someone else he knows 

When Adrien starts complaining about UNO rules, Marinette starts seeing Chat 

Given that she’s played so many rounds of the game with him, she knows EXACTLY how he plays and how he acts when he plays

When everyone’s leaving, Marinette drags Adrien aside 

literally straight up goes,,, “chat,,”

Adrien’s kinda like “shiT whoS cHAt” 

and mari is like i fuckin knew it

1. I was born and raised in Indonesia, Jakarta!! (that sorta explains why my english is bad lol) also fav indonesian food = nasi goreng (periodt)

2. I’ve never drank coffee before, like ever, not even a cup. 

3. I’m actually a huge kpop stan ajksdhf, my favorite groups are SEVENTEEN, LOONA, and DAY6! (but let’s face it, I have 5 more groups unmentioned) 

4. I’m a theater kid lol! I’ve been into some local musicals and dramas, and I even got rejected to several auditions :( my current fav bway musical is hadestown!

5. this is a weird fact but I have gastritis AJHFKAJSFHA I’m not allowed to eat too much spicy/sour food or my stomache will die!! wohoo!! (I’ve been in an instant noodle hiatus for almost a year now bc of it)

1. i was raised in the philippines for a hot minute as a kid but as of right now i live in arizona in the USA, aka a state sized convection oven, aka hell

2. i have 5 cats and a doggie!!!!! i used to have a gecko but he passed away in january :( rip dumbass i miss you every waking second

3. i work at a ranch and ride horses a lot!!! i got bucked off by a mustang mix named spirit aka my baby boy and it hurt but it was fun and i would do it again no cap

4. uhhhhh uh i’m not as interesting as everyone else who does this tag???? i don’t even have a favorite food like what. it changes every time i’m asked. toasted pbj or nutella sandwiches are always a good default. and coffee if that counts

5. hmmmmmm idk umm it might be because i’m like half filipino and half irish but i’m 4’11 and haven’t grown at all since i was 13?? my height literally plateaued the doctors were like malia what the fuck this isn’t normal. but i’m trained in MMA so at least i can fight wa HOO!!!!!
