I've been meaning to rant about this, but I've been inactive. Loid as a character has so many layers that I can't even begin to describe, but I want to talk about how he separates his everyday identity and his spy identity. When he was assigned Operation Strix, he was given the task of presenting as the perfect family man. But instead of creating a new face, he's using his own face. HE VIEWS HIMSELF AS SOMEONE CAPABLE OF BEING A FATHER, A LOVING ATTENTIVE HUSBAND. Like, I know it's obvious, but the implications aren't talked about enough. Maybe I'm reading into it too much, but when he's in the field as "Twilight," he's never showing his face as the "Loid" identity, as far as we know. He's constantly running back and returning to the Twilight identity when he feels his real self peeking through as Loid. It's so small and a bit obvious but it makes him such a good character, especially with how he reacted in the end of chapter 132. Super excited for the next season.
