I was ready, so damn ready to have these urges suppressed to tone down the rumbling that has me stumbling through my day I was willing to give it all for you, my last dime for the convenience you presented, at such a time. you could have been my water in this waste land, a pick me up, the right hand, damn you! craving that carves crevasses creating pathways for saliva, slowly flowing toward the front of my mouth like a hand in the desert using its last drop of energy to reach for that illusion that was never there.

I just wanted a twix! or skittles, and now you snicker at me from behind your glass border. that stupid out of order sign. has ruined my day!

I spend my life looking at the face of a laptop endlessly scrolling through websites that remind me just how broke I am

I have a Macbook Pro “The one with the touch bar” My aesthetic cup of joe Yet a quarter tank of gas That reminds me how far I can really go

I take out massive student loans So that they can dictate the direction My future truly goes and yet i'm distracted by pointless politics I really dont play a part in

I chose starbucks over starting revolutions I chose simplicity of solutions For real issues

I am the generation that could have created change but chose division I have shared visions but not actions

I've stayed stagnant in what could have been and drowned my sins in prescriptions to help forget I've messed up.

I am the Millennial.

A mole that covers the best Feature you possess, or   One foot one size to big, A noticeable look

They make fun of them but look past me For lack of the “it”, my face not enough

Do you not see what I see, a mudslide slapped onto bone, hair that fights against the comb Being a joke wont be so bad.
