Imagine the Eridians set up some kind of far space satellite relay system so they can actually communicate with Earth at a reasonable rate (like hours/minutes instead of months/years).

And they get Grace to send his first message to Earth in years.

And a female voice comes back saying "It's good to hear from you, Doctor Grace."

"...Eva Stratt?!"

*Person who sent Grace into space, question?*

"Yes Rocky but..."

*BAD HUMAN! BAD BAD HUMAN! SENT GRACE TO DIE ROCKY NO LIKE BAD BAD BAD %@#$#*

Cue Grace trying to wrestle the speaker away from Rocky while apologizing profusely

And then the next transmission that comes in is Eva Stratt laughing her ass off as she's getting cussed out by an alien in the most chaotic first contact scenario ever.

Bonus Bloodymary: Grace awkwardly trying to explain "uh yeah we also found another human in a wormhole in a weird bloody submarine"

And then Eva "...would that possibly be connected to the space stations full of very confused tramatized humans that showed up here a few years ago? they said the black box from the blood ocean led them out?"

Eva Stratt x Ava (iron lung)

Now it's Stratt's turn to deal with a person from iron lung universe and all the trauma that comes with it. She was prepared to save the world in any way possible, not to deal with this random woman, who is covered in blood, randomly appearing from nowhere

Also she is cannonically not very good with people, so this would be so difficult for her. She used to have a guy to deal with stuff like this, but he was launched into space, so....

Grace dancing around the kitchen or the lab to Sabrina Carpenter and the Beetles and Simon just.. watching.

Simon fighting tooth and nail to learn to play the guitar with one hand (it’s possible). Grace cries when Simon plays a full song for him.

Simon is very slow to pick up on Eridian language, but Ryland is a very patient teacher.

Erid’s ammonia atmosphere isn’t the best for stargazing, but the skies are no worse than Earth’s with their light pollution problem. Grace once turned off the biodome’s sky projector to let Simon stargaze, and it’s become a nightly ritual

Grace will sometimes wake up in the middle of the night without Simon and find him outside, staring at the Eridian skyline, reminding himself it’s real.

Rocky is very excited upon Simon’s arrival because Grace will have someone to watch him sleep when Rocky is with Adrian

I think a lot of people missed the fact there were PLANTS on the Hail Mary. Imagine Simon and Grace planting those in the biodome together.

Speaking of PLANTS, imagine Simon caring for a garden. He’s read every book in the Hail Mary about the topic. He spends at least two hours tending to the garden every day. Ryland finds himself giving up his fog often so that the plants can have proper sunlight. The fresh veggies are totally worth it.

One day Grace gets a call from Earth about a strange occurrence there. It’s Eva and Ava. Simon walks in casually while brushing his teeth and just.. freezes.

Ava’s first words to Simon are “did you get the box”

I am in deep in bloodymary hell. My favorite flavour of it is Simon is rescued and Rocky hates him because he is hoarding Grace. In contrast, Adrian and he become besties and he keeps calling Grace Angel. Also! I am a big fan of the Make Adrian super big agenda! Let Rocky have a big mate 💜

I am still scared the youtuber will see my art, but I’ve been told he’s cool with that.

Simon has his days where his fears and temper gets the better of him, especially regarding the mutation and how he doesn't have control of his own body. He tried to remove all the teeth from his face, but they keep growing back.

Grace does his best to help Simon cope with the changes. Eventually, Simon accepts the teeth are a part of him now. He doesn't like it, but he learns to live with it. On top of growing tired of fighting the mutation, he doesn't want to worry Ryland or put even more burden on him with his problems.

Meanwhile, Grace is relieved Simon isn't hurting himself anymore. Also he thinks the teeth are neat. Weird, but NEAT.
