Ann Blyth was born on August 16, 1927, and died on June 24, 2026, at the age of 98. Her career began as a child on radio and then as a teen, she moved onto Broadway appearing in Watch on the Rhine (1941-1942). She was soon signed by Universal Studios and appeared in a series of musical comedies before she had her breakthrough role playing Joan Crawford's conniving daughter in Mildred Pierce (1945). Among other notable films were The Great Caruso (1951), The Student Prince (1954) and The Helen Morgan Story (1957). She continued to work in musical theater and occasionally in television through the 1980s. She has been honored with a motion picture star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame at 6733 Hollywood Boulevard.
