Overview of events since I've been gone... Part 2

- Once Chase had advanced in his career he was in a position to be able to choose where he lived. His parents were aging and he wanted to make sure they were cared for so he decided to move in with them. He paid to have his own little guest house built in the back so that they wouldn't be in each other's way. But he felt he needed to be near them to help out. - Crystal ended up finding work in Willow Creek and moved to be closer to Chase. This is when their relationship really started to blossom. - After a long talk with his parents, Chase proposed to Crystal and she eagerly accepted. - Not long after the proposal, Philip passed away. - Crystal planned a big wedding event for her and Chase. She wanted a perfect classic wedding. The big day came and as people were gathering to enter the church, Amelia collapsed and died. They obviously decided to postpone the wedding.

Overview of events since I've been gone... Part 1

- The family moved out to Windenburg so the children could have a top notch education - Chase earned the responsible trait as a teenager. Perfect grades, always helping out around the house. He spent his free time playing video games. He was very much a loner. - Cyrus was a lot less responsible. He enjoyed playing sports and staying out way past curfew hooking up with girls. - Corbin was an artistic kid who loved painting. He met a guy in high school and realized he was gay. - Amelia continued to cheat occassionally on Philip until they had both reached elderhood. As elders they eloped while visiting Sylvan Glades. - After all three boys were moved out of the house, Amelia and Philip bought a home back in Willow Creek so Amelia could once again have space for a big garden. - Chase moved to Oasis Springs for a job in the Tech Guru career. He met a woman named Crystal but was pretty unsure about the whole romance thing for a while.

Okay so I’m going to post a series of updates on what’s been happening with the Novotny family since I’ve been away from Tumblr. I think it will end up being maybe 4 or 5 parts. I’m going to set them up in the queue. Wooooo! It’s good to know I’ll have something posting again!

Hello Simblrs! I hope everyone is well. <3 <3 <3

I’ve had a hard time coming back to this Simblr. And I’ve been trying to figure out why. And I think I might have it figured out. I wanted to be able to share my Sims stories. But I didn’t realize that by doing that it would make playing the actual game not so fun. I found myself constantly stopping to take screenshots rather than just playing the game. That in turn made everything slow down. And I’ve learned that I like to play fast. I like to see quick progression of a story. When I was pausing to take a bazillion screenshots it was taking away that ability to progress quickly and that made everything less fun for me. I know some people prefer long play and some people still have sims alive who they started playing with the day Sims 4 came out. But that’s not the way I enjoy playing the game apparently. 

I’ve been playing my Novotny legacy with minimal screenshots and I’ve been enjoying it a lot more. I think I still want to figure out a way to share my Sims stories, but it will need to be less screenshot heavy. And I know maybe that sounds strange to say since compared to some people I didn’t post tons of screenshots and I didn’t edit them so I wasn’t spending time on that. It was just that i spent so much time in the game, on pause, taking tons of screenshots, then later sorting through all of them for the ones I thought looked the best... Anyway, for me, it was too much time. And I’m a student now again so time is something I don’t have much of. 

Anyway... Ramble aside... I’m looking forward to diving back in here and getting caught up on what everyone else is up to in their game!

Chase had an assignment for school which he took quite seriously. Philip helped some, but Chase probably could have finished all by himself.

Welp... I only have two posts queued for tomorrow and then I probably won’t have anything for a little while. I’ve been busy. I am going to be out of town this weekend and I may not even take my computer with me - and even if I do, I can’t imagine I’ll have a spare moment to get into my game. So it might be next weekend before I have anymore Novotny posts go up. I’ll still be lurking, but there probably won’t be much activity from me. Just wanted to mention that in case anyone was interested.
