How is your Halloween going so far: are you joining us in the dungeons' ballroom or keeping the celebration to a close circle of friends back in the common room?
I have to tempt you to join us if you haven't decided yet. We have snacks, we have music, we have a Haunted Room, and even the potions that can turn you into a random monster for an hour in case you don't have a costume prepared!
We did sadly have an accident already but I hope that all the bad luck went away with it: Elland's brother decided to drink two of those potions I mentioned above in one go, and it was not a pleasant thing to look at. Huh, maybe it's a good thing you didn't witness that :)
If you have other plans for tonight, I am still really curious: what would your costume have been? Perhaps you are wearing a matching one with somebody like your girl? It's always so exciting to see the amount of creativity people put into their costumes! (Well, and for other people we got potions, but those don't really count.)
I begged Elland to dress as a vampire hunter for tonight so we can match and participate in a pair-costume contest, but this Hufflepuff is too stubborn. He is dead set on wearing that phoenix costume his brother made for him to every event we ever go to. I suppose I wouldn't understand since I don't have any siblings.
Oh, I am rambling again, I apologize for that. Too much energy! Would be nice to see you at the Halloween Ball but certainly no pressure!

Happy Halloween! I’m so glad to hear from one if my favorite Slytherins again :) I am afraid that I won’t be joining you guys for the festivities… but if you (and Elland) wanna stop by the Cecelia’s dorm later we’d love to see you!
Don’t worry Cecelia is quiet the stubborn Hufflepuff as well. I wanted to do Frank(ie)stien and her bride (me being the bride, odvi), but we completely forgot to go get costumes. So, we just opted for matching pj’s instead! My tank-top has a black ghost and her’s has a white one! Comfy and on theme.
Elland probably just wanted to appreciate the costume. Like for my 10th birthday my older brother made me a blanket, i use it all the time. And only because i hold it dear to my heart, that and he’s my brother. But i’m sure he’d dress up with you next year if you asked him too!
I am deeply sorry about the ball! Unfortunately, huge crowds are not quite my forte…. luckily that’s what Lia’s for, she was just feeling a bit run down today. And never apologize for rambling, like i said, I love hearing from you Will!
