queenbreesworld: Bree had finished getting ready now and was sat on her bed looking over her perfectly manicured nails as her phone beeped she looked at the message from Cody and smiled, Things have been rough lately for her due to Brooke being gone and it was even harder for Cody she truly felt his pain and wanted to ease it as much as she could besides they were all so close growing up maybe she could make him hurt less. Hearing his car pull in she rushed to the door a huge smile on her face as she opened it she missed him and was glad her agreed to come "Good evening Gorgeous" she said as she hugged him and allowed him in "Do you want a drink before we go?" She asked because obviously she knew about him and Matt and besides Bree wanted to rub that fact that she was with Cody in Matts face she didn't even know if Matt was going to let her in the thought brought a smile to her face

A smile was brought to Cody's face when he saw Bree when she opened the door. He was welcomed by a hug which he soon embraced. "You look great Bree." Cody said before accepting her invitation to come inside. "You can have a drink before we head out, I'm driving." Cody used to be the type to drink and drive but after Brooke's death he realized life was fraglie and he didn't want to do anything to put Bree in danger. Cody wondered if Bree felt weird about being around Matt now that she knew of the past Matt and Cody once shared, but thought it better that he did not bring it up. It wouldn't do anybody any good. He walked over to Bree and smiled. "I almost forgot something." He leaned down and gave Bree a light gentle kiss. "I couldn't help myself." He admitted.

Bree's open Starter (Party)

Another Belmont high party was happening and of course everyone was going to be there Bree just stepped out of the shower she was running late as usual she had already picked out her outfit a short black mini skirt and a sailor vest with matching heels she wrapped her lock black hair in a towel as she dried her body off she could hear her sister banging about in her room she turned her music up blocking her out and put on a strapless bra and matching thongs she pulled the skirt up her silky tanned legs and over her bum which it barely covered throwing on the vest she tucked it into her skirt she looked in the mirror nodding to herself, She smiled remembering something she had in her bag she walked over to it pulling out a little bag filled with white powder she walked to her desk opening the bag and placing some of the contents out on the side she took a card and put it into a line using a rolled up not to snort it after taking it she put everything away letting her hair out of the towel to dry naturally so it was curly she the did her make up she checked her mobile looking at the time it was already 10 she rolled her eyes and sent a text reading ‘Come get me? ;)’ she continued to get ready waiting

Cody had not been in much of a partying mood since Brooke had died. Most of his days were spent in desolation, held up in his room thinking over the events of the past few weeks, and the weeks leading up to those. Brooke had been gone for just about two weeks and to Cody her death still made no sense. He was well aware that Matt was going to be throwing a party tonight as he did every Friday night. He wondered how so many people could feel the desire to go to parties while his sister was laying dead in the ground, never to be seen or spoken to again. His thoughts were gloomy, but whose wouldn't be at a time like that?

Cody heard his phone go off. He went over to his dresser to check it. It was from Bree. Cody couldn't help but smile. Even through all of the sadness of the last few weeks, Bree had the ability to make him smile. She had asked him to come pick her up. Cody was opposed to going to this party, especially seeing his ex, but if Bree were going to be there it wouldn't be so bad. "I'll be there in ten minutes." Cody sent back. He grabbed his jacket, threw on his shoes and headed out the door. A few minutes later Cody pulled up to Bree's house. He walked up to the door and knocked, glad to be seeing Bree again.

No matter what Matt could do, he couldn’t fix the mess he made with Cody. At this rate, he had tried everything in his power to mend the broken heart he had stuck his best friend with. No surprise, nothing was going to do the job. Matt felt completely to blame for any difficulty he may have caused because, well, yes, it was his doing. Losing Cody in his life rocked his life completely upside down. Matt started using and dealing again, which was doing him absolutely no good. The drugs were the perfect outlet for him to completely forget Cody, even if it was only for an hour. All the feelings were consuming Matt and he couldn’t handle it anymore. He was still hopeless and madly in love with Cody but there was nothing he could possibly do to fix it without Cody. He couldn’t look away or feel overly jealous when he saw Cody, whether it be walking down the hall or at football practice. Matt knew he had to fix it.

In English class, the only class Matt had with Cody, he sat there staring down at his desk as the teacher had assigned partners. Of course, Cody happened to be his partner and was in the counselor’s office, so Matt began to chart up some ideas so he could go over it with him. When he looked up, there he came after checking in with the teacher. Matt saw Cody walk over, he wanted to smile but he knew better at this point. “Um, a poetry assignment.” His eyes slowly met Cody’s, and his heart started racing, cheeks started blushed. “Thought maybe we could do assignment about love or something along those lines.” Matt turned his notebook towards Cody where he started to write some poems regarding both. “B-but that’s your call.”

Cody didn't know how he was supposed to handle being paired up with Matt for a two week assignment. He barely even looked at him during football practices and now he had do not only that but talk to him as well. Every time Cody looked at Matt, he was reminded of all the things that happened between them and also the way that it ended. Even though Cody was trying to move on it was difficult to do that with Matt around him all of the time, and now it would be even harder due to Matt being in his face and working on this project with him. He wondered what it would have been like if Matt never blew him off and they had stayed together. How different working on this project would have been.

Cody heard Matt talk about the project, so he looked up. For a brief moment their eyes met. The same eyes that taught Cody not only how to love but how to hate. Of course Matt would want to do a project on love. "That's fine Matty." Cody immedately retracted, "Um.. Matt. Sorry." He opened up his textbook to a lesson about love poems. "I know it's not exactly poems but we could look at Romeo and Juliet. That might work?" Cody asked, trying to get to the task at hand, and trying his hardest not to look into Matt's eyes again.

After Brooke's death, Cody was different. He avoided most of his peers, even some who were his friends, while he walked down the halls. On weekends he stayed home instead of going to the party or going on a date with a random cheer leader. The only things that Cody remained doing were going to school and playing football. Even that was difficult for him, as Cody wanted to avoid Matt Sullivan at all costs. When Cody was a Sophomore he and Matt had a secret relationship. Cody was head over heels in love with Matt in a way that felt like a dream. One day Matt told him he couldn't do it anymore and left. While most of the time Cody could pretend that it didn't effect him anymore, mostly because he never dealt with how the 'break up' mad him feel, the wound seemed to be reopened by Brooke's passing.

One day at school, Cody arrived to English class and saw most of the class in pairs. He had been at Mrs. Thorne's office. "Boston we are in pairs working on a poetry assignment." The teacher told him as he looked at a paper on his desk. Cody rolled his eyes, he hated being called by his first name. "You are partenered with Matthew Sullivan." Cody's heart sank into his chest. He looked over at Matt who was sitting alone looking at a piece of paper on his desk. He figured that Matt must have done something to arrange this. He walked over to where Matt was sitting and took a seat across from him. "What are we working on?" Cody asked, trying to ignore the elephant in the room.

I know the real you, the you that no one knows, especially Bree. I also know just how much I meant to you. So I highly doubt you meant that.
