LGBTQ+ and proud

The first batch of pride designs I uploaded in 2019 were tragically misspelled. The second batch of pride designs I uploaded in 2022 were linked to my Redbubble shop, which has since been shuttered. So here's iteration 3 of my Pride collection!

Aside from the first design, which just says "pride", each design features the phrase "[identity] and proud". I've got different colorways for each design that I'll be posting to Tumblr throughout the month.

All of my Pride designs are available for download in this GDrive folder if you'd like to use any of them as an icon! I also have stickers available on Etsy.

It's hard to wholeheartedly say "Happy Pride" when things are looking so dicey for queer folks, and especially trans folks, these days. I mean, even at the most comically insignificant level, there's a good chance Tumblr flags this as mature content because I've included the trans flag. I'm full of so much fear and anger and heartbreak for my friends and my community. But there is something to be said about visibility as a form of resistance, visibility as a sort of quiet insistence that we're not going anywhere. At the end of the day, I'm queer, and I'm here, and I'm proud to be.

I was working on some physical Fandom Trumps Hate rewards today and ended up fucking around with some tiny canvases I had while I waited for the paint on the FTH projects to dry.

These read “motherfucker,” “we get better,” and “TARDIS” and are all 2”x2”. I really like the “motherfucker” color palette in particular and will probably end up painting other, bigger canvases in those colors. I’m definitely a little rusty with painting, but it’s been fun to get back into it!

I’ll add these to Etsy in a day or two, but in the meantime, y’all have dibs. $10 each + shipping (via PayPal or Ko-fi). DM me if you’d like to claim one :)

(Also, if you want to see any other designs on canvas, let me know. I can’t guarantee anything, as these paintings are fully contingent on my bandwidth between my day job and other obligations, but the odds of a canvas getting painted are higher now than they’ve been in a decade lol.)

I’m so excited to finally share these designs! I created these as part of a collaboration I’m doing with another artist on Instagram (the results of which haven’t been released yet, so make sure you’re keeping an eye on my IG for that!). But the outcome of that collab will be limited edition, so I wanted to make these designs available on their own. Both of these can be found as stickers, prints, and more on Redbubble; I’ll drop the links in a reblog.

The Amazing Devil debuted a new song when they performed at Hay-on-Wye this past weekend, and I've been slowly but surely going insane about it ever since. It's called "Gold" and it's so incredibly full of love. It hasn't been released officially yet, but there are fan recordings of the live performance floating around on Tumblr and Instagram, so definitely go give it a listen <3

This piece was another exercise in playing with looping and multiple readings, which is something that Sherman’s lends itself to well due to its circular nature. Here, the central sentence is a repeated element, and the flanking phrases create the two couplets of the verse. Theoretically, you ought to be able to read the two couplets in any order, but I also wanted to play with using catch marks + numbers to denote reading order.

Recently I’ve been particularly interested in finding a way to translate song lyrics creatively, in a manner that captures the musical, multidimensional nature of the song itself… So I’ll probably keep experimenting with these ideas in smaller bites before synthesizing them into a larger piece.

In the meantime, let me know if you’ve got any requests! I’d love to add some ideas to my inspiration folder for future projects.

I'm excited to share that I'm participating in this year's @fandomtrumpshate charity auction and crafts bazaar!

FTH is an online auction of fanworks that generates donations to progressive nonprofits that are working to protect marginalized people. Over the course of the last 9 years they have raised over $430,000 for a range of amazing organizations.

What am I offering?

I'm offering two custom digital translations for auction, as well as a variety of ready-to-ship physical products plus two custom painted canvases.

Just Gallifreyan Things' FTH Crafts Bazaar Stall

Welcome to my stall for the 2026 @fandomtrumpshate crafts bazaar! I'm offering a number of Gallifreyan prints and stickers, as well as a couple of small custom painted canvases with custom translated phrases for auction.

How it works

To participate in the FTH crafts bazaar, you will need to make a donation to one of FTH's supported nonprofits instead of paying me. Then you will need to send me proof of your donation in order to receive your chosen product. Products will be given on a first-come-first-served basis, and I will update inventory as it depletes. You can learn more about how to participate in the FTH crafts bazaar by visiting their crafts bazaar FAQ.

I will cover up to $10 in shipping costs to the US and internationally. If shipping to you costs more than $10, I'll ask you to pay the overage via PayPal.

What I'm offering

I've linked each item to an Etsy listing so that you can see what the item looks like, but you should not buy through Etsy if you want to participate in FTH! Buying from my Etsy does not contribute to the charity bazaar!

Ready-made:

For ready-made products, simply make a donation to one of FTH's supported charities, send me proof, and let me know what you'd like. If you make a donation large enough to meet the minimum for multiple items, you can select multiple items. Ready-made items will be available until the bazaar closes, unless they sell out.

Custom canvases:

I am offering 2 painted canvases that are 6"x6". On each canvas, I can paint a simple background of your choice (single color or gradient, a pattern, etc), as well as a custom Gallifreyan translation up to 10 words long. You can choose a design I've already made, or you can ask me to translate a custom phrase.

You can bid on a canvas using the forms below. Bidding starts at $10 per canvas and will close at 8pm EDT on Wednesday, March 18.

Once bidding has closed, I'll reach out to the winning bidders for each canvas to coordinate painting and delivery.

Yall I'm gonna actually start crying 🥹

Fanfiction authors have always been these sort of mythical creatures to me, especially ones that got a lot of kudos and comments, while I was just a small bee in a big fandom hive.

The fact that my little obsession with "Find the light" and with "Pondwater" actually looked cool to the author herself and enough to tattoo it on her body... I-... Ngk-... dkakdjbxkaghhh

The Good Omens Fandom really is the most homy and and cozy fandom I've been in. The word 'community' applies to it more than to any other fandom I know. We're like a really big family in a really big shared house.

Klik, I've already said it, but if I ever see you and recognize you by the tattoos, I'm bursting into song and that's how you will know it's me 🫵

I think the fact that I love the most is the requirements to get this reference. You have to be in the Good Omens fandom, have read "Find the light", know the melody/words to "Pondwater", know Doctor Who and be able to read Circular Gallifreyan. I would like to know what percentage of world population checks all of those boxes...

i’m waiting at the airport for a flight that’s been delayed 2.5 hours, so i started sketching in a desperate bid to kill some time.

i’ve been thinking about getting a lorem ipsum tattoo because i think it’s conceptually really really funny. like it gives you so many avenues for fucking with people. “what does that say?” / “oh it’s just a placeholder until i figure out what quote i want” &c. so i wanted to see if a gallifreyan version might look nice.

i don’t think i’m gonna get any of these myself but i did succeed in killing time! please pray for me… i’m flying frontier so who knows if i’ll ever leave ._.
