So gimme that bag back maybe~
"Pfft-- After that? Aw, hell no!"
But here's my numbah
"..."
'An this is crazy
"What--..."
Hey, I just met'cha
"What is this?"
( waria )
Waria laughed. She crossed her arms and gave him a sweet, mocking smile- “Oh, but you do this to me all-a the time! I should get to-a have some payback. But if you’re-a just gonna be like that…”
She turned around, looking back only to blow him an insincere kiss. “Then fine~ I’ll go somewhere I’m-a wanted.”
"Well, that's because I don't let people step all over me when I'm cornered like that. I was raised to steal and kill, not to cower in the corner like some kind of loser."
He smirked and nodded her off when she was about to leave. "Don't get shot up in town, alright?" He acted as if he didn't care, but that was something he hated about himself. He actually wanted Waria around, even if they were only going to fight. Now, he couldn't do anything at the moment but sit and wonder why he was so hated. That didn't affect him much anymore. He had come to hate just a minor part of himself as well.
The treasure huntress rolls her eyes. “That-a doesn’t count.”
Then she smirked again, stepping closer. “Oh, I-a don’t care. But y’know… it’s-a not every day a man singles me out and-a makes me kiss him on the cheek. It’s-a kinda like the usual playground stories of a little boy pulling the hair of the girl he likes…” Oh, yes, she was turning this around on him. She even tapped a finger on her chin as if in thought.
What? What! What was she doing!?
Naturally, he didn't get nervous when someone would take advances on him. He would get irritated, and then mad. Taking a step back, he flared his nostrils. "Well, I'll pull your hair if you don't scram, runt! I don't need you here anyway! You're just like the rest of them. You're all the same, you know that?"
“Oh, I could. Very easily, too. I just have-a good reasons not to- like the one you mentioned earlier.” Waria smirked a bit.
“Pff, like I’d even need to call the cops. I’ve-a always taken care of myself just fine.” Except for that one time where Lucy, of all people, had to rescue her from Chieftess Chilly but Waria doesn’t count that because she’d rather think that that never happened.
Then a thought came to her. “Is that-a the only reason you come after me specifically?”
"Psh, yeah right. You had to have had some help in your life. What about when you were an infant? I suppose you just learned how to walk and use the bathroom on your own, right?" he sneered.
Then, he went silent at her question. Sheepishly glancing away, he nodded his head, but only once. But he barely moved it--it was like he was trying to get something off of his nose without touching it rather than a nod. He began to mutter, "Yeah. It seems like I can't talk to anyone without getting yelled at." He looked back up and narrowed his brows. "But I don't need them. They're all stupid. Why do you care anyway?"
“Hmph.” Placing her hands on her hips, she glared at the pirate. “Sucks for-a you then, doesn’t it? A man’s got access to-a the whole freakin’ world and the only thing he can do to occupy his time is-a bother a strong, rich woman. Not-a my problem.”
Though, in all fairness, Waria wasn’t one to follow the law, either. It was likely that the only reason she hadn’t been punished for anything yet, though, was because she had friends in high places.
"Ha! Yeah, right. The only reason that I chase after you is because you can't kill me. It isn't like you have a gun in your pocket or anything right now.
"The reason that I don't chase after other women is because they can have the cops right on my tail in two seconds. It's hard to find someone that can actually talk to you without getting the authorities involved." He glanced away. "Even if talking is more like arguing."
Everyone has their name changed to something related, yet different. And Syrup is like a sweet, melted Butter. So Syrup = Butter, thus I know your name!
"What kind of logic is that?" Then again, Butter didn't use too much logic himself, so he probably didn't have the right to say that. "... But you did get my name right, so I'll give you that."
Ahoy, Captain Butter! *smiles* I'm an assistant for Miss Syrup, so that partly makes me an assistant of yours, too. My name's Ribbon, by the way.
"Assistant? Syrup? Ribbon?" He rolled his eyes, not seeming like he cared much. "And how do you know my name?"
“You little…” After a moment, though, Waria’s gritted teeth turned to an angry pout. This probably wasn’t helping the ‘precious’ statement Butter made earlier. ”Either way, as I asked before- don’t-a you have anything better to do ‘sides messing with me? You know, I could-a hurt you worse.”
Butter grunted, finally answering her question. "There's nothing to do around here, besides messing with you, that is." His red eyes lurked around, as if he were searching for something. "Everyone is so boring around here. And because I'm a pirate and a male, there's not much I can do around town without almost getting shot."
Waria growled. ”HELL no! You creep!” Without really thinking about it, she pulled down the front of her skirt to accentuate her point. ”Bah, be glad that my fist didn’t-a hit your face! I’d gladly break your-a nose right off!!” Admittedly, that was an empty threat- as much as she did or didn’t like the Capt’, he had a handsome face that she’d rather not be forced to ruin.
"Why would you do that, though?" He stood up and dusted his jacket off slightly, stopping when he realized that he didn't care. "Without a nose, it would be hard to breathe, and without breathing I would die. And then you would have no idea where my treasure is; not even my crew knows." He pulled a coin from one of his pockets--the same coin that he always kept on hand and flicked it up into the air. "I do believe that it would be best if you think things through first."
( Waria, sorry if I'm late with replies. I'm also on Barbara's account. )
That statement went a bit too far- the yellow-clad woman made a fist and slammed it into the first part of the captain that presented itself as a target, whatever it might’ve been. Didn’t matter to her. Of course, now she was redder than her cousin’s clothes.
Well, he was expecting her to do something, but not to actually carry it out. The fist had hit him between his chest and his stomach, and resulted in him falling back just a few feet. Though, to his luck, he landed in an odd position on his knees, rather then his back. He had to admit, she was a powerful woman.
He rested himself on his right knee, looking at the ground. With a smirk, she looked right back up at her and wiggled his red eyebrows. "Is that a yes?"
Waria slaps his arm down. “Don’t-a touch me! Don’t you have anything better to do?!”
"Someone sure is feisty this evening." He takes a step back, letting his arm fall back down to his side. "What? Did the crabs get into your underwear? Because I'll get them out." Of course, he had ignored the question at hand completely.
