‘ nuh-uh. i love flying. besides, i had a window seat and the first season of twin peaks to entertain me. ’ being honest, she couldn’t blame him. most people couldn’t relate to her love for flight. ‘ if anything, that sounds like a lie. ’ she stretched out a hand, playfully nudging his shoulder. ‘ you’ve been used as a human pillow. what’re you gonna do, write a letter of complaint ? ’

“You’re a straight up weirdo. I hope you’re aware of this.” He shakes his head, a laugh managing to broke through his sour demeanor. “So not a lie.” He scoffs in response. “You know, can’t you just let me complain and agree with me, just this once? Let me whine with dignity.”

‘ you wish. actually, i had a pretty sweet flight. ’ crinkling the bridge of her nose up as she spoke, the girl couldn’t stop a lazy grin from gracing her lips nonetheless at his little story. ‘ it could have been worse, jones. at least she didn’t drool. i don’t see any on your shirt — or none that isn’t yours, anyway. ’ the smile on her lips quickly turned mischevious, flashing bright eyes in his direction. ‘ maybe you just have really comfy shoulders. ’

“You had a nice flight? That’s a damn lie.” He couldn’t possibly understand how anyone could tolerate such uncomfortable circumstances such as flights. It was practically hell to him.  “Very funny.” He laughs mockingly in response. “I do have really comfy shoulders, I’m the best to sleep on, but that doesn’t mean just anyone can do it. I feel used.”

putting her phone aside after she realized a lot of work had to be done, kiara continued looking through the files. even though she wanted to continue her conversation with tyler – that she definitely was enjoying – she was aware that would be unprofessional. that was definitely not something she wanted to come across as. a sudden voice made her jump up in her shift. “ good morning, sir!” she quickly spoke, not sure who it was before she looked up. “ tyler?!” she whisper-shouted. “ what are you doing here?!” she started laughing, staring at him in pure shock. now that was something she definitely didn’t see coming.

“Don’t sound so excited to see me.” He couldn’t help but tease her. “Well, I was bored as hell, you were bored as hell so...here I am.” It sounded perfectly reasonable to him but in reality he just used it as an excuse to see her. “You should feel special, y’know. I wouldn’t put in so much effort for just anyone.”

Yasmiin was lying in her bed with her friend, wearing pajama pants and a tank top. Still holding her own drink, she took a rather large gulp and then started laughing too. “Um, we both picked this, Ty. Don’t play these games with me.” she laughed, nudging him playfully. “I only chose the Netflix category. College humor, because we are in college, duh.” she alloted, ruffling his hair with her nose playfully close to his.

“I was two drinks in when we picked it out, I can’t be hold responsible.” He shakes his head, his laughter becoming louder as she nuzzled  into him. “Oh wow, I cannot argue with that logic.” He teases playfully as he picks up his drink again, taking a large gulp before speaking again. “I need to be completely drunk to get through the rest of this movie.”

He had spent the majority of his day texting Kiara, which in all honesty was the highlight of his day. However, when he had received a text stating how bored she was at work caused an idea to strike. So he quickly got himself presentable and made his over to her workplace in the hopes to surprise her. “Excuse me, miss.” He leans against against as he tries his best not to laugh. “I think I’m in need of some assistance.”

“Please tell me you were as miserable as I was on that flight.” He groans out rather loudly. “This girl straight up slept on my shoulder the entire flight and I was planning this whole fuckin’ rant in my head for when her ass woke up but then when she finally woke up she smiled at me and said sorry and I forgot everything.” He huffs out a sigh after all that. “Now I hate her even more, ruined my well thought out speech.”

“Let’s hope it’s a quick and painless death.” He sighs out dramatically. His eyebrows furrow as she begins to speak, a bit confused as to where’s she’s going with her sentence but soon he finds himself laughing. He definitely wasn’t expecting that. “Shit, are you at least going to take me out to dinner after? I don’t put out for nothing.” He shakes his head with a laugh as he tugs his shirt off, immediately feeling better. “I think this is the part where you throw money at me now.”

“How do you know? Maybe I can’t swim.” He retorts back, his tone somewhat sarcastic. “All I won is black jeans, nothing more in that regard. Plus I’m an idiot and decided on this trip the very last second.” He wasn’t exactly sure why he was offering such a detailed explanation. “It was this or spending time with my family. Heatstroke sounds like a more pleasant fate.”

Yaz looked over at Tyler with a big grin. “Because of how hot I am?” she joked, then giggled and began to tie her hair up and off of her neck as she sat in the sand next to him. “You could at least take off your shirt. And pants, if you’re feeling brave.” she raised a brow at him, signing her words in ASL as she spoke to him. She sat on his left side so that he was speaking into her better ear (the right one) since she hadn’t wanted to bring her hearing aid to the beach.

“So hot, you’re killing me here.” He tugs at the collar of his shirt for dramatic effect. “Is that your subtle way of telling me you want to see me get undressed?” He shakes his head as he laughs, his mood already starting to lighten up. “At this point I’m seriously contemplating cutting my jeans up into shorts.”

hazel hues narrowed in the sun, despite the fact it was mostly blocked out by a pair of over-sized sunglasses that sat on the bridge of her nose. “ that might be ‘cause you’re wearing clothes in the million degree heat, ” she teased, chuckle escaping her lips as she moved to take a sea next to him. “ you want my hat ?? ” lainey offered, lifting her hand to grip the brim of her camouflage-printed baseball cap. “ might stop you from MELTING out here. ”

“I didn’t exactly bring anything else.” He shrugs his shoulders with a heavy sigh. “I sort of decided on this trip last minute and just threw shit into my bag without even thinking about it.” He was starting to regret it all now. “Nah, it’s cool.” He shakes his head at her offer. “I don’t want to bother you or anything.”
