‘It would seem I have hit a nerve, with my question. Not that the topic is by any means something disturbing.’ She thought to herself and from her perspective, Ken was an attractive male. Not only in physical appearance, but mental strength as well. Makoto may or may not have tried to flirt with him, if she were slightly younger.
‘Oh well.’ The casually dressed Drug Lord, thought to herself.
But at this point, he was showing a rather unappealing side of himself. The side of a child who needed to gain some more real world experience.
‘He wouldn’t be able to handle me.’ Makoto confirmed before her inner self chuckled. She hoped that one day he would find love. Maybe not today, tomorrow, or in the following year.
“Yikes, you don’t need to get so uppity.” The priestess arcana holder responded before adding (while holding back a giggle), “Take a few deep breaths, you’re starting to turn red sweetheart.”
“You sound like the unbelieving, uncertain, and unfit sort.” Makoto stated before shaking her head and then stated further, “Perhaps you haven’t found the right woman, man, or what have you just yet. Maybe you just aren’t interested in the concept of finding romance. I suppose only time will tell in this matter. It took me a long time to figure out what and who I liked.”
She didn’t really have a problem having Ken or his sister join them on an outing. It sounded like fun and this did fit into Stella’s plan of action. It would give Makoto the chance to get her mind off work and experience parts of the world again. She did focus too much of her time at work, physical training, persona training, and education.
“Sounds like a plan.” She said before tossing what remained of the waffle cone. All the ice cream was gone and she didn’t want it anymore. After that was confirmed, the conversation shifted to her occupation as a lawyer.
“I once considered working for the SIU, but the more I learned about the organization, I realized they weren’t in the desire of differentiating between the innocent and the guilty. They were simply using their power to pin a crime on anyone they saw fit, just to make a spectacle go away. Also, since they are under the thumb of the current political leaders, they are the corrupt sort. I would say I am more interested in working with the public directly and aiding in those kinds of affairs. Examples would be dealing with divorce cases, domestic abuse cases, drug possession cases, and so on.” Makoto said before stretching her body.
“It’s important to have your hand at many forms, as well as education to tackle a variety of situations, but also to know what your limits are. For example, I would not be able to work to full proficiency with a confirmed sex-offender.” She said and then notice that Anat had returned.
A familiar whistle entered her ears and she turned away to look at a woman in a floral print dress walking down the path. Her eyes were silver and her long hair was mahogany colored. Stella was curious about the boy, Anat told her about, but she cared more about Makoto.
“Making a new friend, darling?” Stella asked before embracing the woman who made her feel safe. The embrace was returned and a kiss was placed on the other’s right cheek.
“His name is Arisato Ken.” Makoto introduced before the embrace ended and the lover turned to look at the younger of the three. Her right hand was extended and a warm smile was bestowed upon him. The feeling she emitted was inviting, just like Makoto’s was.
