It is interesting to see how many of these individuals can fall under the term celebrityâalmost all. Using media of the time to manipulate how they were âseenâ by the peopleâthereâs a difference between public and peopleâallows these individuals to create lasting textual/visual images and narratives. The images and narratives provide socio-cultural connectivity.

The curator of the University of Michigan libraryâs Screen Arts Mavericks and Makers collection announced Thursday the discovery of an unpublished personal memoir Welles had titled âConfessions of a One-Man Band.â
The draft was discovered when archivists at the universityâs special collections library began processing eight boxes of Wellesâ material shipped earlier this month from the Croatian home of actress Oja Kodar, who was Wellesâ partner in the last 24 years of his life
Wellesâ draft of âOne Man Band,â which he began in the 1970s, was written on a typewriter, but also contains handwritten notes and edits. Among the topics he covers in the memoir are his parents, second wife Rita Hayworth, Ernest Hemingway and D.W. Griffith.
