The Single Most Valuable Marketing Tool For Small Business Owners
It's the single most valuable marketing tool a business owner can have... And it's totally free! Yet almost every business owner I have EVER talked to is NOT using it. I am talking about a customer avatar. You may think it's not that important or that you already have it stored in your noggin'. Nooooo! Wrong! Having a good customer avatar(s) printed out and hanging in your office is the single most important thing you can do to increase the effectiveness of your marketing and sales. It helps you choose the right blog topics, it helps you write better ads, it helps you choose better ad targets, it helps you write better emails and sales letters. I could go on and on and on. Do not go another week without having a good well defined printed and hung customer avatar(s). Your bank account will love you for it!!
This is a classy example of using borders in your FB ads...
It's not screaming for attention, but it gets your attention. Notice the subtle use of diagonal lines also. This person knows their shit!
The human eye cannot resist investigating diagonal lines. They're so used to seeing horizontal and vertical lines in everything they look at. When a diagonal line or shape pops into their view it wakes them up.
Call it a subconscious pattern interrupt. You don't know it's happening, but it is.
If advertisers spent as much energy as they do trying to cut costs on improving backend revenue, they might actually make some money.

How To Select The Right Image For Facebook Ads?
The hardest thing to teach my coaching clients and employees is how I pick the right image for my facebook ads. However, this image I just found for a clients "probiotic" campaign couldn't be any more perfect! I literally yelled out "GOD LEVEL" when I found it.
So let's break it down... 1.) Probiotics help with digestion and immunity. It concerns the intestines and colon. So the imagery relevance is SPOT ON! 2.) The colors! The colors! The colors! Sooo much stopping power without resorting to ugly borders. 3.) Using images of the human anatomy suggests "medical." Medical related images add a certain level of credibility to the ad. The image in your ad must be relevant to the ad copy. The copy and imagery should form the opening of a story and make the viewer want to finish the story aka CLICK YOUR AD. You can do this by creating relevance to the audience through your copy and imagery. Then you need stopping power via the colors and contrast to the ads surroundings in order to get their attention to your story. Finally, you need to create curiosity and benefits through the story your ad begins so that they desire to continue the story. It cannot be a "Me Too" angle (story) that every single other product in your market uses. You need to make the viewer believe you understand their situation, but have information that they have not seen before. That's why those "1 Weird Trick" ads are so effective. They make you feel like they lead to information you haven't see yet. However, if everyone used "1 Weird Trick" then it too becomes "Me Too" so you've got to be original. So here's a little checklist you can use... 1.) Is my ad copy and imagery relevant to my audience? 2.) Does my image have stopping power? 3.) Does my image increase the credibility of my ad? 4.) Does my ad start a story that my reader would want to continue? 5.) Does my ad create curiosity? 6.) Does my ad mention any benefits to my viewer? 7.) Does my ad suggest a new angle or unseen information? If you can incorporate all of those elements into your ad, you'll have the perfect advertisement. And this doesn't just mean Facebook, this goes for all advertisements. P.S. I paid for rights to use this image. I did not steal it from Google images. I do not suggest you steal it from me. Using this image will probably not do you any good. You also need the right ad copy, targets, and offer. Find your own images! Be original!
