This is my best friend and fellow USC Trojan and Troy HS Warrior, Shalin Shah. Since August he has been fighting an extremely rare form of cancer since last August. Throughout it all, he’s been inspiring his family and friends and people around the world with his optimism, passion for life and most importantly, his love for us all.
Throughout our friendship, he’s always pushing me to always enjoy every nuance of life, from sunsets to even being a pre-med. Shalin, his family and all of our friends hope to share his reflections and perspective of gratitude and love with a wider world.Huffington Post has published his reflections and featured a story. Reddit was awesome and sent a post to the front pages.
Please join me in sharing and re-blogging his reflections. We all can learn from Shalin’s wise words. In hopes to fulfill his legacy, starting tonight, we will all take a moment to soak in the sunset and use that time to reflect on everything we have to be grateful for.
Join us and share and tag your photos with #sunsetsforshalin. You can follow it on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/sunsetsforshalin), Twitter @sunsetsfor, and Instagram @sunsetsforshalin. We will share more of his reflections through those groups in the next few days. Please also feel free to use these pictures as your profile picture or cover photo on social media as your own to help spread his message. Feel free to share with anyone across the world who would enjoy reading his message of gratitude.
