The Lucky One by Nicholas Sparks
Pub: 2008 (Read it in July 2014)
Rate: 5/5 Stars ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆
I finished reading this today and Wow!!! This book is amazing and that last chapter scared me so much *.* but I'm glad how everything wrap up. This is the second book that I have read from Nicholas Sparks and let me tell you I'm loving his novels. The first book that I read from him was Dear John and I loved that book so much. So yeah I am going to be reading more of Nicholas Sparks books.
The lucky one did started slow, I will say the first 120 pages. But then it pick up and got amazing. The romance, the drama, the friendship and the little mysteries was just great. :)
Now I need to see the movie, I have not watch it yet because I wanted to read the book first. Will be watching it tonight. YAY!
"DESCRIPTION: When U.S. Marine Logan Thibault finds a photograph of a smiling young woman half-buried in the dirt during his third tour of duty in Iraq, his first instinct is to toss it aside. Instead, he brings it back to the base for someone to claim, but when no one does, he finds himself always carrying the photo in his pocket. Soon Thibault experiences a sudden streak of luck—winning poker games and even surviving deadly combat that kills two of his closest buddies. Only his best friend, Victor, seems to have an explanation for his good fortune: the photograph—his lucky charm. Back home in Colorado, Thibault can’t seem to get the photo—and the woman in it—out of his mind. Believing that she somehow holds the key to his destiny, he sets out on a journey across the country to find her, never expecting the strong but vulnerable woman he encounters in Hampton, North Carolina—Elizabeth, a divorced mother with a young son—to be the girl he’s been waiting his whole life to meet. Caught off guard by the attraction he feels, Thibault keeps the story of the photo, and his luck, a secret. As he and Elizabeth embark upon a passionate and all-consuming love affair, the secret he is keeping will soon threaten to tear them apart—destroying not only their love, but also their lives. Filled with tender romance and terrific suspense, The Lucky One is Nicholas Sparks at his best—an unforgettable story about the surprising paths our lives often take and the power of fate to guide us to true and everlasting love."

Love this!!!! It was the best book from the series. I'm very happy with the ending :)
"DESCRIPTION: With Omega Point destroyed, Juliette doesn’t know if the rebels, her friends, or even Adam are alive. But that won’t keep her from trying to take down The Reestablishment once and for all. Now she must rely on Warner, the handsome commander of Sector 45. The one person she never thought she could trust. The same person who saved her life. He promises to help Juliette master her powers and save their dying world . . . but that’s not all he wants with her."
Hey Justine! I just wanted to say that I am really happy that I've found your blog. Because of you i found the syrena trilogy! I am kind of addicted now, but still thank you. I am looking forward to find out more books of yours that i probably like. Oh, and my question is: What do you think of the book/movie Warm bodies? I was just wondering. I receive Of triton next week. I just have to wait, but I am so excited. Enjoy reading X
Awe!! Thank you so much. I love the Syrena Legacy Trilogy, I'm glad you are liking it so far. The Warm bodies movie I really, really love it, it is one of my favorite movies. But I have not read the book yet and I don't own the book either :( I will try to get it soon.
I completed the Shatter Me Trilogy :)

Freaking Awesome!!!! I'm so TEAM Warner :)
"DESCRIPTION: Juliette has escaped to Omega Point. It is a place for people like her—people with gifts—and it is also the headquarters of the rebel resistance.
She's finally free from The Reestablishment, free from their plan to use her as a weapon, and free to love Adam. But Juliette will never be free from her lethal touch.
Or from Warner, who wants Juliette more than she ever thought possible.
In this exhilarating sequel to Shatter Me, Juliette has to make life-changing decisions between what she wants and what she thinks is right. Decisions that might involve choosing between her heart—and Adam's life."
I can’t stop reading, it's getting so good!!! 📖 Unravel Me By Tahereh Mafi.

Monstrous Beauty by Elizabeth Fama

This is the worst mermaid book I have read so far this year, I'm really sorry but I did not enjoy this one, I did not like any of the characters, the plot was boring, I keep pushing myself to finish the book. I knew this novel was a more darker mermaid and I was excited when I bought it, but this novel did not work for me, From beginning to end it was so bad and boring. The only thing I like about this book is the cover, because its gorgeous!! That's it.
"DESCRIPTION: Almost one hundred forty years later, seventeen-year-old Hester meets a mysterious stranger named Ezra and feels overwhelmingly, inexplicably drawn to him. For generations, love has resulted in death for the women in her family. Is it an undiagnosed genetic defect . . . or a curse? With Ezra’s help, Hester investigates her family’s strange, sad history. The answers she seeks are waiting in the graveyard, the crypt, and at the bottom of the ocean—but powerful forces will do anything to keep her from uncovering her connection to Syrenka and to the tragedy of so long ago."
The Faerie Path by Frewin Jones
Pub: 2007 (Read it in June 2014)
Rate: 4/5 Stars ☆☆☆☆
This is the 1st book of the series and I really enjoyed it, It was a cute Fairytale. I like almost every character and the poems and I'm so liking this faerie world. The reason I did not gave it 5 stars was because I wanted more romance and in this book there wasn't much of it, I hope in the second book I get more romance :) This book is a Young Adult Novel but when I read it, it did not felt YA it was more younger, I feel like a 10 year old can read this book and wont find anything inappropriate. Anyway I still recommend the book if you are looking for a good Faerie Book. This book was way better than Wings by Aprilynne Pike, I did not like that book that's why I did not continue the series.
"DESCRIPTION: Swept away into a court of magic and beauty, she discovers she is Tania, the lost princess of Faerie: the youngest daughter of Oberon and Titania. Since Tania's mysterious disappearance on the eve of her wedding five hundred years before, Faerie has been sunk in darkness and gloom. The courtly Lord Gabriel Drake, who Tania was once to marry, has found her and brought her back. With Tania's return, Faerie comes alive again as a land of winged children, glittering balls, and fantastic delights. But Tania can't forget Anita's world, or the boy she loved there. Torn between two loves and between two worlds, Tania slowly comes to discover why she disappeared so long ago. She possesses a singular magical ability and she must use it to stop a sinister plan that threatens the entire world of Faerie."
Books take me places…. that’s why I love them.
