Exercise 7: Character Thinking
Uhhh yeaa.... idk hereās my take on the exercise.
Exercise 6: Character blinking
This exercise was fun. So for the blinking animation I had some help with the book calledĀ āThe Animatorās Survival Kit.ā I highly recommend this book for any animators out there.
I didnāt do any of my twist animation. Sorry about that.
Exercise 5: Character head turn with anticipation
For the first attempt I did for this exercise, I think the head had a little anticipation but the body seemed stiff which made the whole animation weird(in my opinion). So note to self, make the whole character have emotion to show the anticipation.
And for my twist, guy doesĀ a double take on delicious ice cream. Look at the ice cream! It so sparkly!!!
Exercise 4: Simple character head turn
Okayyy!!! This was a dooozy. The method I used for this exercise was pose to pose since it felt right to put 3 heads looking left, middle and right. Next, I just drew in the inbetweens and that was kinda challenging. I donāt know.. I think it turned out okay.
Hehe! As you can see for my twist, I put the stare dad meme. I donāt know what it is about the stare dad meme but it seemed very perfect to put like a head turning thing. Hope you guys enjoyed it!
If you guys got any feedback or constructive criticism, I would highly recommend you Dm me so we can have some nice animation discussions! ;)Ā Ā
Exercise 3: Brick falling from a shelf onto the ground
So for the exercise I mixed the pose to pose with straight ahead method and I thought it turned out nice. It was a fun to try make thatĀ ābrickā look heavy or more weighty than the ball from yesterdayās exercise. The animation felt like it skipped a few frames due to me trying to make it fall faster.Ā
For my twist I thought having a person trying to catch the brick and fail. It seemed very funny to me so I went ahead and animated that. The little guy I animated felt like a pole but weāre here to practice on the brick animation so I didnāt put too much thought on the guy.
Hope you liked it! DM me if you have any criticism or feedback (love to have some 1 on 1 animation conversation).
Exercise 2: Bouncing ball across the screen
Today I tried both methods of animation (pose to pose and straight ahead).Ā
The pose to pose kept the ball kinda consistent but the flow of the ball didnāt seem right. It could be as though I tried to draw the ball straight to the next pose which didnāt seem right but hey you live and learn am I right?
The straight ahead method felt so much better but yet again I couldnāt keep the consistency of the ball right again. It could be I still need more practice with my hand to keep consistent or what not.
For my twist to the exercise, I decided to put Kirby to be my bouncing ball. It just felt right since Kirby is very cute and circle. ;)
If you would like to give feedback or any criticism, DM me. I would love to have some in depth conversation with you guys!Ā Ā
Exercise #1: Bouncing BallĀ
This one was pretty easy. I feel like the only problem for me is that size of the circle is not consistent at the end. It might be as though I animated straight ahead when I should have done pose to pose. If there is any constructive criticism you would like to give? Hit me up in my DMs! Much Appreciated! ;)Ā
