Introduction

I’ve been doing plastic canvas for over a decade now and I wanted a side blog to share my creations and teach others how to do it, too.

Invented in 1973, plastic canvas became wildly popular in the 80s, but is not a very popular hobby nowadays as far as I know. It helps with my anxiety by giving me something to focus on and in the end, I’ve created something pretty! What you make doesn’t have to be functional, just make something for the sake of making something; make it because you enjoy it.

I hope you enjoy my blog! I will be posting step-by-step tutorials complete with pictures to help get you started as well as patterns I find and things I make. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to drop me an Ask! 😁

The Lunar Chronicles

This is my first time venturing into the world of traditional cross stitch. The Lunar Chronicles is one of my favorite book series, but it doesn't seem to have that large of a fandom, so when I found this gorgeous pattern, I was so excited, I just had to make it. However, it was 32 stitches too long for my biggest sheet of plastic canvas, so I had no choice but to use aida cloth. It took weeks to finish because I'm not used to working with such tiny stitches.

I plan to block it and frame it one of these days!

Quilt Block Tissue Box Cover

I made this one as an Easter present for my mom, who loves quilting. I have to fly when I go see her, so to make it easy to travel with, I finished all the steps short of assembling it, then I assembled it once I arrived.
