Title: Unexpected Discovery Written for @justlikebudapestauction Characters: Clint Barton, Bucky Barnes, Natasha Romanoff Rating: T Summary: Designation 02-452407. For as long as the boy could remember, that had been his only identifier. They never gave him a name – they just called him Soldier. He knew about names, of course. All of the scientists had them, and he knew from his studies that most people had names. It seemed to be a standard thing – a person would be given a name and that’s how others knew them. But they didn’t consider him a person.The world might prove to be a very different place if someone ever saw him as a person.

Notes/Warnings: if you don't like original characters, this is probably not the fic for you as the main character is an OC. I hope you give it a chance and enjoy it, but I did want to give you the heads up. Avengers as family in the Tower vibes, and I've got no idea how Bucky was saved and brought in. Hello Visitors!

After a half-year-long back-and-forth, I’ve decided not to open the auction for a third, 2023 round. You can read a bit about my reasoning below, but the most important part: I am so, so thankful to all of you for the last two years. This has been a spur-of-the-moment thing and you all made something amazing, something precious out of it. Thank you so much!

The accounts will be active until the end of the 2022 round (May, 2024, and a bit after), and keep all content afterwards. Please reach out if you have any questions or concerns!

Thank you again! You’ve all been, all are, wonderful. 

As to why I’ve decided to discontinue the event: some of you might know that I’ve been running it alone for the past one and a half years - and while everyone is lovely (seriously!), keeping track of everyone and everything is hard even when you don’t over-stress everything, which I do. Added to this that my offline life is going to be very busy, it became obvious that I could not keep up with the event with the same attention as I’d like, as it’d deserve. 

At the same time, I cannot tell you how precious this is to me. I know most of us have been struggling with whatever politics are around us, no matter where we live, and as a hungarian who has watched hate-campaigns and restrictions and limitations of rights being piled upon on our LGBTQ+ people (among others!), and as someone who knows we are a small country with few eyes on us, I am beyond thankful that we’ve created this event, that you all have stood up with me, with us. Thank you!

And a thank-you to my previous co-mods and the Fandom Trumps Hate team too, for being integral to the creation of this event, and for giving us the base materials to work with, respectively.

PS: I’ve thought about running a themed week, so that the people who’d like to participate still have the opportunity to do so, even if in a different way (and because I don’t actually want to let go of all of this). I’m hiding this at the end here, because this summer is already looking busy for me, but let me know if you’d like it, and I’ll see what I can do!

Bucky and Clint love each other as much as they adore her, and it makes for steamy nights, happy days, and the occasional kidnapping. That last one isn’t because of their relationship, though. Another year is gone, and I had a wonderful time participating in @justlikebudapestauction yet again! This fan event is a Black Widow fandom charity auction whose proceeds are donated to support Hungarian LGBTQIA+ and human rights organisations. For this, I offered my skills as an artist to create a custom drawing for whoever made the highest bid on my offer.

I am very pleased to have Lou as my highest bidder, because I was requested to draw a piece accompanying their short story. It was a delight to read it, get involved in the atmosphere and incorporate it into my artwork. Thank you, Lou, for the collaborative exchanges on this and being so patient with my replies!
