First Words of a Life Long Love Letter
Buck/Eddie, Teen, 4.6k (Read on Ao3) For @buddiebingo, Square G2 "5+1"
"What are you doing here?" Eddie asks, setting his keys in his designated bowl and toeing out of his shoes.
"You had therapy today," Buck shrugs, and of course he pays attention to Eddie's schedule because he's spent the last five years being an integral part of it. "I know how it drains you, so I wanted to bring you some comfort food, and then I saw the stuff around the house I know you've been waiting to get to, so I figured I'd take care of it."
For the first time, he registers the laundry basket Buck has on the couch and the piles of folded clothes set on the coffee table. Eddie assumes that if he were to peek into the kitchen that the sink will be empty and the dishes already put away.
Eddie's eyes get lost following the fluid movements of Buck's hands folding Christopher's shirts. Buck's let himself into the house like he belongs, which, he won't dispute. Buck does belong. It feels so normal that he's just come home to Buck and that his best friend is doing chores for him out of consideration and brought him food , and maybe it's the exhaustion, or that he's so worn down that there hasn't been time for Eddie's defenses to rise back up, but he can't hold anything back and he has to say–
"Can I kiss you?"
