An afternoon exploring turned out to be very worth while.
Life at the top is a tough place to be. Such a harsh wind swept environment.
Almost at the summit of Bald Rock, not far to go now.
While in Stanthorpe I had once before been to Bald Rock when I was really little. I thought it was time for a return visit. The long way up was great as the granite boulders and arch ways made for very bizarre landscape. Almost unnatural in their placement.
I have no seen so many roo’s before, ever. Stanthorpe has wonderful wildlife.
While in Stanthorpe I thought I would finally attempt to take some photos of the night sky as it was so clear. I learnt later however my lens choice was not the right one, but on the plus side I did capture a shooting star in the second photo.
So a few weeks ago I was lucky enough to stay at a home stay in Stanthorpe. The people that run and own the place were absolutely lovely, almost a home away from home. Cold weather, chickens and the family dog who was hoping for alot more belly rubs. After checking in we quickly made tracks to get lunch and to try out the local brewery.
Glorious views at the top of Mt Ngungun
Early morning at the top of Mt Ngungun
A re-visit to this car. Every now and then I head to Woolloongabba Antiques and not every time but sometimes I get to see this beauty. I wish I bought my camera last time I saw it.
I think a drive tomorrow would be good. Maybe over Mt Glorious or up to Maleny.
Had a rdo today so my little mate stuck by my side all day.
He was helping put together a new fan I bought too.
Nice day to have the top down.
