I’ve been really sad recently over the implication of her being a sexual abuse survivor (or at least an allegory of one…? It’s pretty clear it’s implied either way though and I can expound upon this)

She even has to wear Laivan’s hoodie and use his laptop because she literally has Nothing once she’s away from her abuser. It’s really sweet how she’s given things of her own and not taken advantage of despite her dependence at the time and immediately given friends and a support system (that we see grow!) as soon as she’s out of there.

She feels like she can’t get away from her abuser, like he seeps into every single aspect of her life and it’s nice to see that she’s healing and will be confronting her trauma as she goes through her land. Sova I love you

Here’s something I think about a lot. Skulltitans are supposedly supposed to be like Komodo Dragons (though generally based on Godzilla who is a mix of a bunch of different lizards)

Komodos (or any other venomous lizard) cannot actually produce venom from their claws, but I will suspend my disbelief nonetheless. Assuming the venom is not purely radioactive and is meant to mimic actual komodo venom this means Dismas is Regularly affected by venom that is known to prevent blood clotting, rapidly lower blood pressure, induce shock and expedite blood loss.

He really can take a lot and it’s impressive his survival ability can actually allow him to survive this (it’s even stated other people would not be able to do so) all the while probably still being chased by the thing or whatever other circumstances he could wind up in. I like thinking about the sheer extent of this

Anyway… let me know if you want to hear more about Dismas and lizards. I like using my lizard knowledge on him

Its interesting how this survival actually affects Dismas, because surely you won't think about whats good or bad, or something like justice when everyday you struggle to live

Though he still has some sense of justice which we see when Weird Al kills his lusus. He prolly saw it as unfair (I mean, he was struggling for more than 7 sweeps and its only natural for him to take his revenge)

I really like thinking about how his aspect affects who he is and how he acts

It’s 7:30 in the morning and I’m yet to sleep sorry if this doesn’t make sense or I get something wrong. But anyway…

Dismas DOES struggle a lot with his morals and it is really interesting you’re so right and his survival/revenge based one track mind is definitely a part to play in it alongside everything with Murrit.

Dismas feels a lot of guilt for his violent urges and a lot of guilt for what he did in the past but the most interesting thing is that… that’s mainly just because he feels a lot and killing innocent people already went against his morals? He’s empathetic and sensitive, he already didn’t want to kill random, innocent people

His sense of morality and justice is very skewed and he’s interesting because he doesn’t change that, he doesn’t try to be better. He still killed people, he still enjoyed it (though it was because of the feeling of control he finally had) and he’d probably be okay with somebody dying if he’s given a good enough reason.

Dismas has a very strong sense of justice but his sense of justice and morality is very specific to Him. I think the fact he was in the desert for ~8 years and thus didn’t really have the opportunity to catch onto social queues or norms (and things of that nature) might add to it too? Though I’m not 100%

Man i like to think about ve characters a lot because every single one of them is just so deep and alive, but Dismas might be my favorite. Im probably just projecting but he's still such an interesting character it hurts to think about his personality and backstory so much
