I love how in the Alien Force Trio, your safest bet is to fight the former criminal that can turn his body into any material and could copy DNA. You do not want to fight his girlfriend, who has so many spells and charms that it basically is impossible to predict, and best friend, who has over a million aliens that could kick your ass.
After Charlie wins, Willy Wonka tells him there are few other people he must face before successfully becoming his successor:
Willy Wonkaâs older siblings, who are the most powerful entities in the universe. Charlie must gain their approval before he inherits the chocolate factory.
Before he leaves, Willy Wonka packs him some candy for the trip: some chuckles, jujyfruits, and a handful of fireballs (extra hot).
The first one is easy. He shares the chuckles with Willy Wonkaâs sister, who introduces herself as Mary Poppins, inside a chalk drawing made by her friend.
She explains the whole sibling dynamic to Charlie:
Willy, of course, is the youngest; Mary practically raised him. He developed a love for sweets from Mary, who fed him spoonfuls of sugar.
It is the middle child; poor thing never got enough attention as a child and now she makes it everyone elseâs problem.
Mary is the eldest daughter, spending their childhood trying to keep everything afloat.
And then thereâs the Shadow, the oldest and most powerful of the siblings.
As long as Charlie behaves himself, she says, then she approves of him owning the chocolate factory and becoming part of the family.
But the other siblings wonât be so easy to get along with, Willy Wonka warns as much, and he understands if Charlie is not up to the task.
But Charlie is determined to succeed, unaware of the danger ahead.
Next, he visits the realm where Willy Wonkaâs other sister dwells, Pennywise, and an almost never ending hunt begins.
While hiding, Charlie encounters and is saved by the Goblin King, a cousin of Pennywise and Willy Wonka. He offers refuge at his castle.
At first Charlie is too preoccupied with the fun heâs having to realize the Goblin King has actually trapped him in his castle.
He attempts to escape, getting lost in the maze with the goblin king now after him. While lost in the maze, he realizes the only escape is through the portal leading him back into Pennywiseâs nightmare realm.
Charlie tries to explain everything to Pennywise, but the entity continues its pursuit. Only when he finally gets cornered does the entity stop, sniffing out the box of jujyfruits in the boyâs bag.
Pennywise realizes then her brother, Willy Wonka is responsible for this unexpected visit. Charlie introduces himself to her, explaining why heâs come. The entity snarls but accepts the candy and retreats, signaling his acceptance of the boy.
Only now does Charlie realize the importance of each candy. Mary Poppins preferred the chuckles. Pennywise likes the jujyfruits. So the Shadow (mindflayer from stranger things) must prefer fireballs.
With a deep breath, he enters the realm of the shadow where he gets hunted by the demogorgen. After being chased, he throws a fireball into its mouth and it retreats in pain.
Charlie follows it to find the shadow. More creatures pursue him but he defeats them with fireballs. Until finally, the shadow yields and allows him to pass unharmed.
He finds another portal and is relived to find it leads back to the chocolate factory. Willy Wonka apologizes for the danger he put Charlie through, but he needed to know he was strong enough to one day be his replacement.
I've seen people lose family members and have a less dramatic reaction than sports fans when their team loses. Literally, you aren't even playing the game. Calm the fuck down!
