(In my AU, the physical age of personifications does not change over the centuries, only in the earliest stages of their state's existence, or even before its formation; so that at the moment of the state's formation they already have their official age. Thus, I'm not talking about kids in this HC)
Saxony (Christian) and Poland (Feliks) first met in 1002, when the Poles, led by Bolesław the Brave, invaded the Margravate of Meissen, which was Saxony's name until 1423. Their first meeting was by no means peaceful or friendly; the Poles occupied Meissen for several months, and during that time Chris was held hostage. As he tried to escape once, he attacked Feliks who was guarding him, but he failed and so he got beat up by other Polish knights 😕 So yeah, they both tried to kill each other at first, but Feliks eventually took pity in him and didn't even try hard to keep control over the area when the Germans fought back.
When they met again several centuries later, Poland did not recognize Saxony at first; he didn't care enough to keep track of Meissen's history, so he had no idea that it was the same person. He was quite embarrassed when he found out, but luckily none of them held grudges against one another, so they quickly became friends.
