I’m not that good an artist. Not all that interesting as a person. Ive lost my creativity and the love of being creative. I was always really sure what I wanted to do. Now I dont know what I should do with my life.

Justine Westall 2015 Showreel from Justine 'Juz' Westall on Vimeo.
A compilation of my work from the last 2 yrs working on 'Pip Ahoy!' and John Offord's 'Magic Marlon' for CHF Entertainment!
wow... man? what did you follow me? thank you very much, and I love your awesome artworks.
What!? Your work is lovely of course! :) Thank you I really appreciate the feedback although Ive been incredibly lazy this year! Thank you for following and keep on posting :)
Saw an adorable photography section today and had to have a bash at doodling them. As a kid I obtained the nickname ‘weasel’ from my surname (westall). I took it as an offense but looking at these little guys I should have taken it as a compliment :)
A life drawing session at home.
Some feminine poses. Harley Quinn and Myself (minus the phone to take the pictures in the mirror ha!)
More Miss Ives.
Just finished Penny Dreadful and absolutely loved Eva Green and her character ‘Miss Ives’. Fantastic actress and a real beauty. Those eyes are the most difficult to capture and especially after so long without drawing!
(Not my design) but some copying work done at lunch in Flash
LOVE SO MUCH!!
Oh happy happy day
Feeling both sick and excited or sickly excited...Ive just invested in a Wacom Cintiq!!
Slight distort/ movement then snap! Key pose then smudge frame the Snap and cushion. <3
Cheeky cheating Wander here. Wanders legs dont move at all, he literally just moves from point to point on a frame by frame basis. Theres little if any squashing or stretching because the sequence and pace is so quick. The last image is an example of a direct follow on from the running pose key to the upside-down happy key moving directly from one to the other. Brilliant.
Hater's movement is a bit more than Wander's because he is slower but there's still not a lot going on animation-wise as they move through the BG and through the sequence. Nonetheless, Hater's slight leg movements compensates the non moving Wander so the shot doesnt look jarring.
They have this fantastic way of kicking from pose to pose then cushioning by as little as 3 to 10 frames, wiggling the hair or hat or tail for overlapping action. I love how theres a really great use of cut out and traditional techniques in this show.
the 10 frame Turn
I was absolutely blown away by Craig McCracken's new series 'Wander Over Yonder'. Long story short, Ive been hooked on his shows since I was a kid and Im now hooked on this show, probably even more for animation techniques I get to learn from watching...as well as immense joy watching it as well.
Ive been working on things that Im not allowed to upload at all so my blog has remained untouched since November last year so in a bid to get things moving again Im posting up some useful stuff for myself so I can become a better animator.
This page is super basic because Im having so much fun going frame by frame with this show its a delight to watch and pick apart!:)
I dont draw nearly as much as I should or would like to. I have a bunch of these sketches all over my wall behind my desk and I look at the lines and poses I achieved and sometimes wonder 'how' I did this without relying on the Ctrl+Z button. I love working digitally now but there comes a time when you're sketching on a paper pad and your hand immediately moves to push that Undo button. Its wrong I tell yous!!
After this project Im going to do some real hand-drawn animation using paper and a god damn pencil, computers are taking over my life!
Work!
Super Excited!! Today Ive been offered work and I cannot wait to get stuck in for a good cause <3
