Hi! I'm JakeWantsCake, also known as Jake (@jakewantscake), and I like to make comics. I have 3 comic series so far, and I think Tumblr will like each and every one of them!

The Multiversal Misadventures of Jeck & Buckety (TMMJB), a serialized comic starring my original characters on wacky adventures.

Not-Tails, an episodic comic featuring parodical "Not-" versions of various characters from Sonic the Hedgehog. This comic has been cancelled after 15 pages in favor of the next one. WARNING FOR HEAVY SWEARING AND VULGAR THEMES

Tales from the Fandoms (TFTF), the successor to Not-Tails. It features the same characters from Not-Tails, but includes "Not-" versions of characters from any other video games I want to include. WARNING FOR SIMILAR SWEARING BUT NOT AS MUCH VULGAR STUFF

I host my comics on Neocities as well - go take a look!

As a publisher of intellectual property, I want to say that any kind of fan work involving my characters is perfectly okay with me, so long as a) you do not profit from it and b) it's not harmful to real people in any way. (A) Can be negotiated... Does this make sense? Make your fanart, fanfics, whatever. I love to see it!

All pages have full text transcriptions under the "read more!" I hope you enjoy my first little comic thing. It's not the best, but I feel like it does a good enough job of introduction the characters. If this doesn't do it for ya, the first Misadventure definitely will! Stay tuned!

All pages have full text transcriptions under the "read more!" This comic has undergone a few revisions, and I'm glad to say I've finally found a beginning to this comic that I like! It's not really about anything in particular, this chapter in particular just doesn't really have a story, but I had fun writing and drawing all of it. My art quality has definitely gotten SO much better! Hope you enjoy!

[Garbanzo hastily places the rice cooker in Jeck's lap, then teleports away without a word. Jeck is left looking visibly distraught and probably feeling quite bad]

BU, trying to lighten the mood: I think that's the most emotion I've ever seen out of him.

JK: Meh, best not to pry.

BU, kicking back: Got any plans later?

JK: There are some new neighbors movin' in. Maybe we can welcome 'em?

BU: We could ask Garbanzo to make extra green bean casserole?

JK, snapping his fingers in approval: You had me at "Green!"

MEANWHILE

[The scene shifts to a loney road on a hilly landscape at sunset. A formally dressed fellow is walking down the road, passing by a sign that reads "WELCOME TO GIMBOPOLIS"]

??: I wish I wasn't so bald and evil.

??: huh? [offscreen noises]

[a cluster of Gimbos (the residents of Gimbopolis. Keep up) are gathered around a mysterious source of plumes of orange smoke]

[at the center is a newly hatched mysterious orange creature with one eye]

??, shoving Gimbos out of the way: Out of my way, SIMPLETONS!

??, addressing the baby creature: YOU may be JUST what I need...

[Buckety makes some kinda face idk]

BU: That hat looks nice on you BR: You guys can leave now

JK, already holding the MDS and Buckety's handle: OK!

[They teleport away, leaving Bricky with the unconscious Jeq]

JQ, bolting awake: DID I DO IT WAS IT COOL

BR: sure JQ: YAAAAAAAAAAAA

[Jeck and Buckety reappear on the couch in Jeck's house]

JK, now holding a jilkshake: I had fun today, what about you?

BU: Yeah, it was cool

BU: We really oughtta ask Garbanzo if-

GB, teleporting in from nowhere: Jeck I'm done with your rice cooker

JK, with hopeful wet eyes looking up at Garbanzo: Garbanzo do you have wings

GB, visibly caught off guard: ...

JK: I was JUST about to say that BU: we are so in sync.

JQ: Oh, right!

JQ, looking down to Bricky: Bricky?

BR, looking up at Jeq: What, Jeq?

JQ, holding up a cool hat he found: Wanna fight me? Winner gets this cool hat I found.

BR: Sure. Whatever.

[Jeck and Buckety produce the same shocked horrified expression]

BR: You don't have to get all worried this was planned in advance.

[Jeck and Buckety turn them frowns upside down]

JQ: Get ready to FEEL JEQ'S WRATH!

[Jeq raises his hand as though he is going to hit Bricky, but his arm falls backwards as he passes out, loudly snoring on the ground]

GG: For the last 12 1/2 years I've been forming large collections

GG: Like Tablecloths

GG: MY NOVELTY CUPS

JQ: Gorgie has two rooms in the RV specifically for his cups

JK: How is it possible for one person to have so many cups?

GG: one could EASILY argue that it is not.

GG: This conversation makes me restless.

GG, shoving everyone out of the RV: BEGONE! I must be with my cups.

[Bricky, Jeq, Jeck, and Buckety are awkwardly standing just outside the RV]

JK: Who's "Gorgie?" JQ: You'll see.

[Scene cuts to the RV door closed, when a yellow, lizardlike character with noticeable wings on their back busts the door open]

GG: Hi! I'm Gorgonzola! You can call me Gorgie!

[Jeck & Buckety stare at Gorgie for a while]

JK, to Buckety: Does OUR Garbanzo have wings? BU: not that I know of

GG: Is there something wrong...?

BU: Nope! We just think your wings are awesome!

GG: Heh, thanks! I grew 'em myself!

JK: Oh! I guess we should introduce ourselves to you! I'm-

GG: Oh, no need! I was listening the whole time.

[Jeck shows a look of shocked horror]

GG: Something ELSE I heard was an interest in my collection!

JQ: Well, hee's our home sweet home!

[Jeq indicates the corner of the alleyway in which all of their stuff resides. There is a large pile of indistinguishable stuff, as well as a shelf with assorted items, and an RV in the background.]

JK: Whoa... what is all this stuff?

JQ: One thing you really oughtta know about us...

JQ: We're betting men.

JQ: Most'a the stuff in this alley of ours is WON from some sucker

JK: elaborate.

JQ: Listen. Anyone can be cheated outta anything they own.

JQ: You just gotta make sure YOU'RE the one picking the game!

JK: That sounds unethical...

JQ: Look at this yo-yo someone gave me.

[Jeq demonstrates a sick yo-yo trick]

JK: ok that's sick I wanna see more

JQ: NOW we're on the right track!

BU: Um... it's not short for anything...

BR: heh. Lame-o.

JQ: hey! "Jeq" isn't short for anything either!

BR: THAT'S DIFFERENT JQ: NOT REALLY!

JK to Buckety: These guys are not like us at all...

BU: Yeah this universe is like the antithesis to ours.

BR: What does that mean? BU: Don't worry about it.

JK holding up a clipboard that is never seen again: Anyway, do y'all mind if I ask a couple questions

JQ and BR, simultaneously: WHAT ARE YOU, A COP?!

JQ: Sorry, force of habit BR: I'M not sorry...

JQ: I don't mind a few questions, but like I said we were in the middle of something.

JQ: Why don't'cha come on down to watch now?

JK and BU, simultaneously: OKAY!

BU: The name's Buckety! I don't suppose there's a version of me around, is there?

JQ: Well, I guess you would be the equivalent to- BR, offscreen: JEQ!!!

JQ: WHAT?! JK: huh?

BR: WHERE have you BEEN? It's been 45 minutes!

JQ: For your INFORMATION, I was about to take a whiz

JQ, indicating Jeck & Buckety: But then, right outta the yeller, these guys show up! They say they're from another universe!

JK: WE SURE ARE! BU: Did you say yellow?

JQ, looking up at his universe's yellow sky: Yeah? Is there a problem? BU: I guess not...

BR: So you're supposed to be Jeq? JK: Spelled different but yeah !

[Bricky gives Jeck a look up and down]

BR: I find that hard to believe. He would never wear green.

BR, indicating Buckety: And is this CHARLATAN s'posed to be ME?

BU, visibly nervous: Depends? Who exactly are you?

BR: Bricky. Short for Brichard.

[Jeck grabs Buckety by the handle and teleports them both away]

[Grover Cleveland is left in the room alone]

Grover Cleveland: *COUGH*

[The scene shifts to an alleyway with a very high quality Dumpster in the background. Jeck and Buckety appear.]

JQ, offscreen: HEY!

JQ: WHO THE HECK ARE YOU?!

JK: Hello! I'm Jeck! I'm YOU from another universe!

JQ: I find that hard to believe. I would never wear green.

JQ: Then again... I ain't met anyone with the same name as me before...

JK: That's the spirit! Anything we can do to get to know each other?

JQ: Like, activities or somethin'? JK: Yah!

JQ: hmm... well, I'm kinda in the middle of somethin', but if y'all wanna watch then that would be fine...

J: Well, do you wanna meet him? B: Sure!

[Jeck slowly opens up a can of CAT-O'S(tm) brand cat food, he smell of which cartoonily wafts through the air]

J, holding the can and patting on his leg: heeeeere, kitty kitty kitty kitty kitty!

[The shot cuts to the end of the hallway. Through the doorway, a decrepit hairless cat walks in.]

Cat: *human-like cough*

B, extremely concerned: What is wrong with that creature

J, picking the cat up: His name is GROVER CLEVELAND

B: That's not what I asked.

J: He's FINE, he just looks weird

J: The vet said he's nothing like they'd ever seen!

[Jeck holds Grover Cleveland up by the nape and there is a uniquely detailed closeup shot of him with Buckety in the background]

B: Uh. me neither.

J, walking out of frame while somehow simultaneously still holding up Grover Cleveland: anyway, imma go feed him. I'll be right back! B: Okay.

15 MINUTES LATER

J: READY TO GO?! B: I think so!

J, appearing out from inside of Buckety's head: Unless YOU have a BETTER idea!

G: I do not.

[Jeck puts on his sad frowny wah face]

G: But you DID ask me to remind you to feed your cat.

J, now jumping out of Buckety in surprise: JOINKS! I completely FORGOT! Thanks, dude!

B: Wanna come with?

G, deadly serious: No.

[Jeck and Buckety exchange a Look, before shrugging it off. Jeck pulls out his MDS and teleports the two of them out of Garbanzo's universe]

[Jeck and Buckety reappear in the former's house. Buckety appears upside-down]

B, now on the floor: I didn't know you had a cat

J: Yeah haha

G: This is the first social interaction I've had in roughly 72 hours.

G: So I've been good

J: Glad to hear it!

J, indicating to where he thinks Buckety is: Buckety and I-

[Jeck notices Buckety is missing]

J, now tapping on his phone: hold on for a moment

[Jeck holds the phone up to his ear. Buckety then picks up]

J: Hey Buckety B: Heya!

J: Can you come back to where we were a minute ago? B: Yeah brb

[Jeck waits silently, then Buckety walks in-frame]

B: hey! J: hey!

J: What were you doing? B: Standin' around.

[Jeck gives Buckety a skeptical look while Buckety looks back with a worried expression]

J, with no further comment: Buckety and I were gonna explore another universe. Wanna join?

[Jeck pulls a switch above them, illuminating the area. It reveals an empty blue plane.]

J: We're in the BLUE-niverse!

B: WOW! That's so WACKY!

J: I KNOW, RIGHT?!

[They stand and smile in anticipation, then their expressions go null.]

B: I think that's just about all the entertainment we're gonna get outta this.

J: Agreed.

[They poof from existence once again. They then reappear in Garbanzo's universe, indicated by their unfilled outlines.]

[Jeck begins knocking on a door]

J: HEY! GARBANZO! you in there?

G, appearing behind Jeck: No.

J: Hey, buddy! I brought'cha a souvenir! Hold out your hand!

[Garbanzo obliges, and Jeck places a blue cupcake in his hand]

G: ...A cupcake?

J: *a BLUE cupcake.

J: From the Blueniverse!

G: Thanks.

J: 👍 np!
