first of all, my first reaction to eli blowing them up and siding with clear minds was “WHAT THE FUCK ELI”

i didn’t even think about haley’s ability until she she said she’d know if charles normalized him 😭 that hole part had me stressed the fuck out omg

tho, now that clear minds knows that vida is working with charles and the gang, i wonder what’ll happen to them? i’m sure they’ll be either retired or something but they’ve grown on me as a character ☹️

also poor h.gray ☹️☹️ he was trying so hard to not have to kill graves, but he’s too far gone. at least there are 11 other clones ig

so i listened to tpf s3 ep17 twice (2) so i could gather my thoughts

first of all, veda being dramatic when telling charles he has an ability made me giggle a bit (like yes veda we had this conversation already lmao)

i still don't really trust dr. veda all that much to be honest. i don't think theyre completely on charles and the gangs side, but i think their goals might align FOR NOW. i think veda has their own plans and is in their own league.

second, i almost feel like graves knew that was charles and not one of their guys, but if thats the case then why would he leave charles alone with eli? is he still on their side but acting like he's on the clear minds side, or did he genuinely not know? idk just the way he was interacting with charles was sus

i understand where eli is coming from. he's the pacifist and im guessing he's never seen his father like that before? hes someone who is so against killing and seeing the man who he thought was so kind, so murderous(??? i dont think thats the word im looking for) was probably shocking. so many things has happened

and im not saying that charles and the gang are the good guys. it's a bit more nuanced than that and not at all black and white. but clear minds as also killed. theyre literally a big evil corporation and probably killed much more than the gang has. but i dont think eli has really witnessed that yet right? he's only heard about the bad not seen the bad?

and then him making the cannon and setting it off at the end there. i'm so nervous for the next episode !!!!

but man i feel for eli... poor kid :( he's witnessed so much and hasn't really had the chance to be a normal teenager and experience normal teenager things :((( i wanna give him a big hug :((((

i sketched eli!!! i like his design!!! i might make his hair a bit darker next time, but i like how he came out. originally, i was gonna give him like a more happy and carefree expression but after hearing the talks he had with olen i think this is more fitting. he’s not always happy go lucky, he’s more mature than he lets on and he’s been through some shit

so a few things

the amnesia plot is growing on me. there are very few amnesia plots i like, and the one with h grey is so well written

i feel like dr. veda implanted something in h grey. they had him for like a month or longer right? yeah, they got h grey out, but doesn't veda have a way to track their "projects" so to speak? i feel like h grey being held captive by veda was too quickly blown over by them... idk i just feel like something big is going to happen

also charles ability fits him soooo well like omg. i feel like its a bit more than just erasing the paranormal tho. he's way too good with numbers, he can make maps just from description and visualizing.

that being said, i have complicated feelings about charles using his ability on lucian. on the one hand, lucian kinda deserved it. on another hand, idkkk i just feel like thats going to blow up in his face at some point?? but i am glad he's finally accepting that he has an ability and standing up for himself

random side note, i hope they go back to the city at some point soon. i know they will eventually, and it might not even be this season, but i'm interested in if anything will change when they go back to the city. because doesn't the rule of the city changes whenever someone who is aware goes into it??

but going back to charles using his ability on lucian. i was driving when i listened to that part and my jaw fucking dropped!! that scene was so cool, i could visualize almost perfectly! lucian/luke getting angry, his ability starting to flare when charles just goes "or what" and cancels his out!! OMG YES CHARLES STAND UP FOR YOURSELF!!!! they really needed to have that conversation i feel like and they definitely need to have a few more lol, but i dont think
