jykyungri:
( ... )
   is she ready for this?Â
she has no choice now, does she? sheâs put on the dress and the shoes and sheâs gotten ready. thereâs still time to back out, of course, but thereâs a voice in the back of her mind telling her that sheâs got to do this.Â
   okay, no turning back.Â
taking a deep breath, kyungri puts her keys into the clutch, along with her phone and princeâs and casperâs pokeballs, making sure that there was food set out for topaz and victoire before she steps out and locks the door behind her, bidding farewell to her pichu. no turning back, she reminds herself, heading out of her apartment and down to the street in front of it, eyeing an unfamiliar car. she takes another deep breath before she walks up to it, feeling a bit awkward in the formal wear and she tries to peer in through the side window.Â
   â⊠j?â
waiting for her to come outside was agonizing. but then again, most girls would take a while to prepare. especially a girl who didnât know where she was being taken to and was only given a note, an expensive dress paired with equally expensive shoes. jaehwan could hear his wallet crying. but he still had his savings that he set aside for...for the future. so he cast all of his worries away and made sure his hair was still looking sleek and in order. he hated having any sort of styling product in his hair since he felt awkward and vulnerable. but his mother always told him that he looked the best with his hair pushed back. so he tried. for her.
once he heard the door open, he straightened up in his seat, hands immediately grasping the steering wheel. he tilted his head downwards in an attempt to conceal his identity. he had changed his hair color to an âash grayâ for this occasion which made him very unrecognizable. he stepped out of the driverâs seat and slowly, very carefully, walked around the front side of the car to open the door to the backseat as gracefully as he could. he wanted to seem princely for kyungri at least just for this day only.Â
âplease step inside, princess,â he said, almost choking on the last word. it was hard to get it out of his mouth and he wasnât even sure if the other heard it clearly. this time, he looked up, trying his best to muster a confident smile. âj will be waiting for you at our destination. iâm just his trusty driver.â once their eyes met, he couldnât help but smile widely, hoping that she would really believe that there was another guy waiting for her. when in truth, it was him all along. just lee jaehwan. the best friend.
