Apple Blossoms and Bees gives a beautiful “Spring” feeling, with the light, soft colors. You can’t help but find a bit of peace when looking through all the beautiful detail. 🐝 🌺
Alois Lunzer (1840–??), was an Austrian-born watercolour painter, who emigrated to Philadelphia and specialised in doing botanical illustrations. If you can’t tell by now, I love love 💕 LOVE 💗 paintings of flowers! 😉 🤩 Alois Lunzer was not as well known or revered as other of their time, but certainly just as talented and skilled. 🌸 🐝

Roses In a Glass Vase is a mood. Slightly dark, yet ethereal, like a fog rolling in just before dusk. Jacob van Hulsdonck put so much energy and detail into capturing not just the fine characteristics of the still life, but it’s energy and ambiance as well. Roughly 100 paintings are currently attributed to him and I wish we had more of his vision. The meticulous handling of detail in his work likely explains his relatively low output, so I can’t be too upset.
