Dream, summer 2015
September always feels so melancholy to me. Itโs such a month of stasis. Not quite summer, not quite fall. An entire month of aimless floating, but more oppressive. Like being anchored in the ocean and floating through the water.

If this question makes you uncomfortable please ignore it. Would you ever tell your daughter you used to be a hostess?
Hey, seems like tumblr changed the way the notifications come through and I just noticed this.
I would absolutely tell my daughter about that time of my life. I think itโs valuable. I learned an incredible amount about myself, other people, and so much more while I was a hostess.
I also know that I would wait until I felt she had a stable sense of identity and her own life goals first. I would not be upset if she decided to pursue the same route, but I wouldnโt want to sway her one way or the other. Hostessing isnโt a life goal - itโs a means to an end.
