ROUND stands as a symbol of equality and unity where ASEAN countries and Korea come together on equal footing through the universal language of music. The festival aims to connect people beyond borders, language, culture, and customs, fostering deeper understanding and appreciation among nations.
The name “ROUND” symbolizes both a circle representing unity and the letter R, which connects the geographical layout of the ASEAN region. It visually conveys a united ASEAN with Korea included at its center, emphasizing the spirit of inclusiveness and togetherness. The ROUND logo’s colors may vary each year, drawing inspiration from the national colors of all ASEAN member states, reinforcing the festival’s theme of equality and shared identity.
ROUND & ASEAN PARTNERSHIP
The ASEAN-Korea Music Festival is held in partnership with ASEAN, an organization founded in 1967 to promote regional cooperation and mutual progress. Today, ASEAN consists of ten member states: Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Viet Nam.
To support the long-term goal of cultural exchange, ROUND has established the ASEAN-Korea Music Committee (AKMC), a network that brings together representatives from each member country. The AKMC plays a key role in facilitating collaboration, sharing insights about the local music industry, and identifying meaningful partnerships between ASEAN and Korea.

As ROUND 2025 continues to evolve, its mission remains clear: to bring people together through the emotional, joyful, and powerful experience of music. In an age where digital connectivity often replaces real human connection, ROUND serves as a reminder of the shared joy and cultural richness that music offers.
With artists like Marsha Milan and DOLLA leading Malaysia’s participation, ROUND 2025 promises unforgettable moments and a renewed celebration of regional unity. The stage is set for another spectacular chapter in ASEAN-Korea cultural exchange, where diversity meets harmony, and music speaks louder than words.
