i gathered and photographed every pink item in my room to compile them into a collage. it shocked me a little that i had so much in one room that i had previously moved out of, and id love to try this again with all of my pink things from Limerick and both parents houses in Mayo!

i decided to choose the colour black from things being transformed into that colour through being burned. i really love this transformation and how it retains the objects originality.

I spray painted some foods white, almost a breakfast selection, and posed them on a white plate to almost mimic ceramic. I really like how this turned out, it reminds me of the clinical stark whiteness of some art galleries.

STRUCTURE

i used one of the only large scale things i could find multiple of: tree bits! i couldn’t prop them against eachother so i propped them against the bushes/trees and created a little fort.

the driftwood through various phases of the tide. it came closer when the tide rose, suck on the bank again when it lowered. i dont know if the continual process of this will bring it further inland or if it will be carried out. it was strange to wake up to it still being there, i expected it to disappear overnight in high tide.

where i planned to return the driftwood to. i cant control the artefacts journey through this channel of time but i can place it back into the current. i dont know if it’ll be carried away by the shifting tides, or when it will rot but i love the impermanence.
