Below is my final project display:
My exploration of movement consisted of looking at bodily expression. My work was led by my interest in how the movement of body language is individualistic and expressionistic. It's a unique experience, and I wanted to explore that in my work. I wished to show how different these elements of our body can be, and how they're represented. Exploring this through different disciplines was challenging but was a learning experience in itself. I focused on the hands. Looking at joints, skin textures, colours and shapes. I progressed from discipline to discipline, striving to combine elements from each one. Many of the skills I learned in the various workshops I attended helped in advancing my knowledge further, and encouraged me to be more selective with the work I make. These skills are invaluable to me as an artist progressing further into my own creative practice. I thoroughly enjoyed "movement", and feel I am ready to part ways and move onto more exciting projects. Slán le gluaiseacht!
