The Lake District
A few friends and I took a trip to the Lake District and did some exploration of local touristy things to do

One of the first places we explored was the Haverthwaite Railway station with the plan of taking a restored Steam Engine ride up to Lakeside.
While here we got to see the Steam Engine 48441 (built 1950) pull up and prepare for the journey back to Lakeside. Honestly a beautiful engine.

Arriving in Lakeside we got to see the Ferry which continues onto Ambleside. We chose not to do this on this day, instead exploring the Lakeside Aquarium and having a meal at the Cafe on the docks.

On the next day we explored Ambleside before returning home. We walked around the quaint town before having a meal in the Apple Pie Shop & Bakery and that was delicious.
