Petfest

Join us Saturday, August 3rd for the Annual Petfest hosted by Antioch Animal Services at their facility located at 300 L Street in Antioch. The event will run from 10am until 4pm. Come early and check out all of the fun events planned for your family and pets!

Please contact us if you are coming to this event to meet one of our dogs currently available for adoption.  If you have not already done so you can also fill out our adoption application beforehand.

Meet Carol! She is 1-2 yr old Bichon Frise spayed female who loves to snuggle up with her people, play, and go on walks. She’s really affectionate and has been really good meeting new people, etc. Carol has the typical young Bichon play style and personality. She can be vocal and while she is good with most other dogs and does best with confident dogs who will like to wrestle and play but can also hold their ground playing. She has been fine with cats. She seems to really like kids as well but hasn't been around a lot of very young children. She is potty trained. Carol is about 15lbs and ready for adoption

The Miracle of Mr People's!

My husband and I already had two beautiful kitties, Ms America & Ginger--but still felt the earlier loss of our first cat. Wilbur McGee died unexpectedly 2 yrs ago x-mas eve morning, and felt the girls missed him! So we decided to bring some food and toys to our local Shelter in honor of him. When we got there, we were trying to find the office, when we walk into the indoor enclosure for the sick/very Ill kitties...looking at all the souls we wanted to help, when we hear snuffling, and out of the air there is a tiny grey tiger kitten on my hubby's shoulders!! We didn't look up at the ceiling cat post, but he saw us! He had one eye, skinny, and the staff couldn't really tell us much more about him--but we knew, we KNEW!:) He let us adopt him, and we were the luckiest guardians on Earth! To make a long story short, he has had two operations-to remove cyst on soft palate, & drain his ear. The Vets suggested if the ear didn't clear another operation involving drilling into his skull! We made the decision to pray, love him, and if it was meant to be, he would not go over the Rainbow Bridge! I am happy to report a year later Mr People's is fit, healthy, and enjoying life--True Miracle & testament that medicine is not the "cure-all"...positive vibes, thoughts & LOVE is needed too!!:)
