if you’re an American, what’s happening with Iran is not about you. if this does devolve into war, you will not be affected. you do not need to make cringey ww3 memes ~to cope~. there is little-to-no chance that you will get drafted. there has never been a boots-on-the-ground invasion of the United States. what WILL likely happen is that America will invade yet another middle eastern country, and innocent civilians of that country - in this case Iranians - will get killed. America has always been the aggressor that interfered in Iran’s internal politics, not the other way around.

I know there's a growing number of iconic wlw couples in media these days, but I'd like to take a second to remember one of the defining ships of the modern wlw community: Hollstein from Carmilla. Where else were we going to find a charming, wholesome, well-written, and unashamedly corny show where the main ship was played by two queer women? They have some of the strongest chemistry I've ever seen in any couple, and it's clear that both Elise Bauman and Natasha Negovanlis were passionate about representing their community. We didn't get the trademark purse-lipped kisses that a lot of straight actresses do. We didn't get the thousandth identical coming-out story written by the same two straight writers. We got a balls-to-the-walls wild ride about two girls in love who got to save the world together.
