Art by Lina Sidorova
“The City Paths high above street level are used to get from one building to the next. A permanent fog hangs in the air due to unbelievably high pollution levels. Cars sit, abandoned, on the side of roads due to laws banning their use. On small streets, markets open up, fueled by men and women who can't find a job in the overpopulated city. Many people wear hats or use umbrellas to protect themselves from the constant dripping, caused by exposed water pipes and various other things.”
I like the description the artist set up here and it describes what I’m going for with the Under Ground - but minus the pollution. There’s very little air pollution here, just mostly detritus and waste pollution which does not affect the upper levels very much. There is an underground market, but it is unreliable and tends to spring up haphazardly based on supplies. There is constant dripping, a constant darkness and a constant dampness. The walkways tend to be more ziplines from one level to another, and staircases winding around the pipe infrastructure.
Mistress of the Eastern Wood – the most Merciful and Stern
Anita Louise in “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” (1935) wearing a spectacular dress of beaded fringe by Max Rée.
Anita Louise’s Titania is even worse as she combines the worst attributes of the Good Witch of the North and the Wicked Witch of the East from Oz. She mostly sings her lines with the Good Witch’s voice. She flies (or rather, leaps, swings and prances) about the set with the Wicked Witch’s mannerisms. This includes extended sequences involving the fairy children and Titania.
