The duality of high school
Hot take…. I really dislike series. I know Im sorry they just always make me bored
I finished my last book and now I’m on my next one (my dark Vanessa) I really like it so far!!
There are so many books I want to buy/read but I promised myself to finish the books I had before getting new ones
‘My Husband’ by book review no.1
(Author-Mavd Ventura)
Currently I am reading ‘My Husband’ by Mavd Ventura. At first this book did not seem too interesting to me but as I’m reading this I’m noticing how the narrator, the wife, ropes me in to the story with her paranoid way of thinking. The wife is constantly thinking about her husband and it influences everything she does. And her husband, who she said she would not name, seems detached from their marriage.
Every morning she opens the curtains, spends forever to find the “perfect” outfit, then spends the rest of her day analyzing what her husband says, does, acts, and interacts with not only her but strangers as well. This meticulous way of thinking causes her life to revolve around her husband and she puts him over anyone else including her own children.
While the wife compares herself and her marriage to other people and their relationships she is not really an insecure woman. Many times she has expressed how she is very confident with her appearance and elegance and no one has threatened that, but when she thinks her husband is being overly friendly she gets quite jealous.
This book has been very interesting so far and I’m excited to see how it rolls out in the next week so stay tuned for next week’s review. Later!
To star the year off strong, my goal will be to read at least one book a month!!
So far I have read A certain hunger by Chelsea G. Summers which I highly recommend if you like crime and good femme fatale vibe.
