“I don’t see why we should trust you.” He said finally. “Maybe you shouldn't, then.” You tilted your head as you looked at him, “Maybe I am just the big, scary bad guy, and you should lock me away.” “That doesn't sound like a bad idea.” The captain countered. “Try it, then. We both already know you’ve made up your mind about me already, anyway.” You stared daggers into him, and he reciprocated with a quiet rage that flashed in his eyes. Like he was a dog on a leash waiting for his master to let him loose on you. But for better or for worse, you saw his fury as a challenge. You'd spent a lifetime proving to men that they can't beat you, and if need be, you'd do it again.
