leonard-galahad :
âCome on, wait a few more seconds,â Leonard chided lightly as the canines around his legs paced and pranced. Both of their eyes were on what his hands were doing; intent and impatient. Some might think that the energy of which these animals continuously exude was tiresome, but he had always filled him with endearment.Â
A large bowl was filled from the common well, and he took his time to crouch down and set it on the ground. Both dogs zipped over to lap at the water, even going as far to flick a few drops from the fervor. Leonard stayed squatted with his forearms rested on top of his knees while they drank. A chuckle left him and it morphed into a surprised laugh when Nox had his fill and went to lick the entirety of his face. He sputtered when a tongue came dangerously close to going up his nose.Â
âYes, okay, thankâya- thankâya.â He leaned away and patted the canineâs flank while he went to stand. Av was still going to town with the water, but he didnât mind waiting for awhile longer so she could finish. Leonard rubbed the back of his head and heard a slight huff from Nox. It mightâve not have meant much to other people, but it caught his attention right away. The way the canine broke itâs breath had him look over to see who had wandered close. âMorninâ,â he greeted with a small wave.Â
The night had passed him by, his routine walks taking him past the borders of Sanctuary and back, the final stop was at the weavers workshop to continue working but they had turned him away. Heâd only barely managed to get a basket of clothing in need of mending from them, just small work he could do at home.Â
He hadnât registered where he was walking, half-tired, half-lost in his thoughts, but he stopped a bit away from where dogs were playing with their human. Kaheer stared, silent, still pondering this and that while he watched the dogs lap from a bowl of water. A span of a few seconds passed before Kaheer was noticed and even then he was convinced that he should still pretend to act like he wasnât just watching Leonard. He moved to turn away, to head back towards his home with the basket of cloth he was going to sew together, when the human called out to him with a greeting.
It wasnât rare for Kaheer to seek out animals, their rarity among the Wandering tribe making them somewhat a comfort, one thing that was never apart of his time with his old tribe, but he still hesitated to approach their keeper, much less interact with him. The Wicked cleared his throat, his discomfort showing despite his best attempts at hiding it.Â
    âMorninâ.âÂ
A shade of a whisper, almost taken by the slight breeze, a cold mist parting from his lips. Snow had fallen and his hair was damp from where flakes had tangled and melted in it. His clothes were not so much better, but he scarcely felt the cold. The dark circles beneath his eyes seemed more pronounced and if not for the slight greeting, perhaps he might have been mistaken for a wandering spirit. âIâll be goinâ.â He shifted the basket up, looking towards his long trek home.
